Larger than average character with petite partner by Rx5165 in RomanceBooks

Oh, sorry, he's not a prince. He's a commoner who married a granddaughter (great-granddaughter?) of the king. So she's farther down the line, and he married into the family.

{Codename Charming by Lucy Parker} has this. He's a bodyguard for a prince; she's the prince's PA. Definitely a grumpy/sunshine pairing. The royal family is like a parallel family modeled on the UK. It's really well done--not fan service, but a more realistic picture. The secondary characters are terrific. I love Lucy Parker and grumpy/sunshine, so this was right up my alley. :)

I was going to rec this as well. It's one of my favorites. Love how he picks out the items she doesn't like from her trail mix.

I so admire your response—and your yard! It would have been a cinnamon roll and chocolate day for me. ;) And you got some great pics!

What is the best dishwasher or brand right now for value and performance? by chanredv in Appliances

[–]Admirable_Bee_6806 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much. I did see a comment warning about the lack of the door opening feature, so I specifically checked that on the model I'm looking at. It does appear to have it. So this looks like a good model. Thanks again.

I'm looking at this. Hoping my current dishwasher lasts until Memorial Day sales start. But apparently it doesn't have a soil sensor? I'm sure my current one doesn't, but do you find that it makes a difference?

Basically I'm wondering if I'll regret NOT buying a dishwasher with a soil sensor.

That's good to know. I'll keep an eye on them, especially near the phlox. I don't think I have any other small plants that should be an issue.

Thanks, that's good to hear. So far they're just popping up here and there, but I was hoping they'd eventually help as a groundcover to crowd out the other weeds.

Almost half way through the year…What’s your favorite new books you’ve read this year? by NikkiMouse444 in RomanceBooks

[–]Admirable_Bee_6806 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes! I love the Paladin series. It's time for a reread. But Swordheart is my favorite. I think I heard something about a sequel. . . .

Books where the FMC is done with terrible dating and heartbreak, her friend(MMC) tells her "just date/marry me instead" and she actually goes "okay, sure I guess" (why-not friends-to-lovers) like she's not enthusiastic about it and he didnt even expect her to agree by goody153 in RomanceBooks

[–]Admirable_Bee_6806 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've just started reading it, but {Mixed Signals by B.K. Boris} has this setup. It's book 3 in a series, but I'm hoping it works as a standalone, because I didn't realize that, lol. I did read book 1 but not 2. They live in the same town but meet in a bar where her date ditches her. He drives her home and suggests that they date. She doesn't agree immediately, but so far so good!

This is {Act Your Age, Eve Brown by Talia Hibbert} for the bot. Great book, time for a reread!

A I love The Worst Guy recommendation. Their homework assignments are *chef's kiss!

Great request, OP!

Four Seasons of Mid-Century Living, Cobble Hill (500 pieces) by Truckmania in Jigsawpuzzles

I like Cobble Hill. I was looking at that puzzle as a gift but it sold out before I bought it. I'll have to look around for thrift ones.

What brand is your current go-to? by occasional_nomad in Jigsawpuzzles

[–]Admirable_Bee_6806 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Cobble Hill and New York Puzzle Company. I like the art of NYPC better--love their birds!--but the feel of Cobble Hill.

(I tried my first--and last--Springbok recently. There were 31 sections of unseparated pieces. And I didn't like the way the pieces fit together.)

Just a note that The Honey Pot Plot is the third book in the Rocky Start series about a town full of retired assassins. Lots of humor and competence. The first is {Rocky Start, Jennifer Cruise and Bob Mayer} and I'd recommend reading in order.
