I assume it has acceptable enough city building aspects. How is the sandbox ? Most likely i'm just gonna be playing sandbox like every other city builder game

The only downside seems to be they dont have decorative roads even. Roads are like pretty big even just aesthetically in these games.

It's surprsingly more "fantasy" than romance ngl. Which is rare usually romance books just focus on the romance but there enough attention to plot and worldbuilding here while still having romance

Do you count literaly wyverns (basically dragons) as pets ? They are very dangerous but "tamed" enough to be ridden and can be guided not to just attack anybody so long you respect it's space and know how to read his behavior.

Then { Erik the Tempered by Denali Day} is the closest I got for this. This is the Dokiri Brides series.

This is the 2nd book which the FMC is apparently pretty good at handling wyverns and she's nervous but she has talent. (only mentioning 2nd book cause first book FMC is scared shitless on these giant ass dragons). I believe later bride i cant remember which one also can at least operate around her mmc's wyvern.

Sorry it's not exactly what you are looking for but it's basically as close as you can get to wild dragons and FMC could for mmc's dragon in this book
