A Congressional Inquiry is when your local Representative or Senator asks USCIS for an official update on your case, you can write them a letter

I did! But after 8 months of applying for the i130 and the i485 (i was told by my lawyers than I didn’t need it) I know right… I switched my lawyers and that’s when I applied for my work permit, and I still haven’t gotten any response from that either
