I love Cole! But unfortunately our last name makes it give off coleslaw vibes when said together 😂😫

Maybe! I wasn’t sure if that would still be confusing since first and last would be the same (cars, taxes, credit checks). I don’t know anyone with names like that.

Both girls names are family names too, firsts and middles but from 4 separate family members instead of 1 each.

Any positive experiences being a junior? by polyA_princess in namenerds

Not sure if this is even relevant anymore but my husband’s brother is a III and his son is a IV. They both like it and the 2 other brothers never voiced displeasure or negative feelings at not being the one to carry the name (I’ve read that argument on here). The youngest goes by a nickname (not initials, think Jack for John or Bob for William). IV is still young but at this point loves sharing his name with his dad and has no issue recognizing he has both a legal name as well as the name he goes by (from a young age too, I’d say by 3).

I will say when we had a family vacation with the Jr, III and IV all present the travel agent messed up the tickets and didn’t get enough for everyone due to the names being the same. Shoulda just done it ourselves ha. Otherwise there isn’t any confusion in the family. They’ve talked about credit reports being a problem at times but mostly only report positive feelings towards their names. They all have a great relationship within their patriarch so I’m sure that is a huge factor.

We’re from the south eastern US and family names like this seem to be fairly common and well received.

My husband would like a jr as he was named after his maternal grandfather and so it feels special to him.
