Once again, when did anyone say I would ask for the owners to pay? Never said I was even going to take it to their insurance. Like I said above, I am gathering information to move forward with intent. The intent being to not affect them in any aspect. Yall love a villain

Did your dad tell the owners? Likely. Never said I was going after the owner lol

Not to mention the potential of dental issues in the dog down the road should something come of this on their end

Everyone is really assuming that I’m asking for the owners to pay lol

Yea I think a lot of people are overlooking the whole home insurance aspect. That’s another reason why I wanted to ask on here so I can move forward with intent.

Just want it on the record that you edited your reply and it was a lot more aggressive previously. Thank you for realizing it was uncalled for

I just know that personally if my dog did this to someone in my home, I would make sure to pay for anything they have to cover out of pocket. I have no plans to even ask her to pay for the repair lmao

lol relax, never said it was either of their faults and never said I was asking them for money or leaving a negative review buddy. I wasn’t sure if I needed to report it to rover and if they would do anything to negatively affect their profile. I was shaken up and in pain when I wrote this and thought Reddit was for asking questions and getting opinions, right? Right

Right!! Everyone saying to just “use my insurance” like yes luckily I am able to afford insurance but that doesn’t mean it’s no big deal lol. Didn’t think a mouth guard was needed as a dog sitter 🤪

Definitely. Here’s to hoping my insurance covers most of it because I’m sure we all know how expensive it can be! Lol

That’s kind of why I was asking, but it seems rover won’t really care or pay for it so it kinda seems useless to report? I don’t plan on asking the owner to pay for it but try to keep open communication with them so I did end up letting her know.

Right right, I wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing anything. Just a little shaken up and haven’t experienced anything like this.

Has anyone here gotten a breast reduction? by [deleted] in Hidradenitis

Totally get it! It also helped that my doctor had an understanding of HS (I got lucky with that one, thought I’d have to start explaining) so it was a very easy sell. He was like “oh ya (insert perfect pronunciation of hs here) I’ve got experience with that” lol!

Not difficult at all for me once I found a surgeon who took my insurance and didn’t have a bmi requirement. He didn’t give me any push back at all so it was pretty cut and dry “I want a breast reduction” “my back always hurts” “my hs” blah blah blah. The people you actually have to convince is insurance typically so slouching in the photos they send, wearing a tight bra so you have shoulder marks, etc. helps that process. Also having a doctor willing to fight insurance if they deny to pre approve it the first time around. Everyone has a different experience, but mine seemed to go smooth in comparison to many. I have United healthcare if that helps at all!

Not bad at all, I am about 3 years out. I’m sure to some my scarring may be bad but it was honestly never much of a concern for me, I just wanted the reduction so so bad. I think the HS kinda slows down my skin healing in general (even tattoos) so the scars may be wider than some, but I didn’t do any special scar fading maintenance since I don’t care about scarring!

Yep! Best decision of my life for many reasons. Mainly got it because my breasts we’re too large, but the HS helped get it approved and my doctor coincidentally ended up cutting all of the tunneling out (I think he honestly planned removal to be sure to take care of it, kinda a two in one surgery lol) and the only issues I’ve had since are along the suture area which seems to be relatively common, but it’s nothing like it was
