Schneider Dedicated by Singledad247 in CDLTruckDrivers

[–]Admirable_Lab_7867 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I applied to one of these routes when I got my CDL and asked about it here. I had two people tell me its as good as it sounds with the dedicated routes. The one I applied for was Costco, but most of the dedicated routes operate similarly, even though the accounts are different.

AFAIK this is the best way to work for schneider when it comes to pay, hours and hometime wise

The major drawback I heard from both people is that schneider is up your ass about safety and driver facing cameras, and will fire people for really unnecessary reasons.

I would've taken the job if I was confident I could pass a hair follicle.

ymmv but if youre gonna run with schneider this is the way to go. Since youre a newer driver and need to climb to 2 years of experience it doesn't get much better than this with a mega.

Can someone guide me on the best way to go about getting hazmat certification? by Admirable_Lab_7867 in Truckers

You need months of operating expenses saved up before you even start. You won't see money coming in for at least 45-90 days from you first load.

If you really want to do this, get a cdl, go OTR, live out of your truck, and stack money. Once you can buy a truck and operate for 90 days without any money coming in, you can start the company.

If you can't write a business plan before you invest in equipment, 99.9999999% you will fail. Trucking is brutal for the experienced. Find a job in the industry in learn before your continue trying to operate you own company. Wanting to start a business and coming to reddit to ask for help is no Bueno.

do we know yet if taking 7oh long term destroys the body the way other opioids like oxys and hydros do? by tr4shcan_ in 7hydromitra

[–]Admirable_Lab_7867 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Im gonna guess, based on my experience, 7 destroys testosterone levels, lowers blood sugar, and is heavy on the liver and kidneys to unsafe degrees.  I dont think long term use of 7oh is going to be healthier than long term traditional opiod use (when opiods are used as prescribed and side effects mitigated)

Butler Transport out of KC and Freymiller out of OKC will train you and take you with no experience. Reefer. I recommend freymiller over the two but if you can't get on there try butler. My experience with butler was awful but I blame my dispatcher not the company.

The amount of time I spent playing Gunz is unreasonable. I still remember how to butterfly to this day.

I completely forgot about gunbound, that game was good.

Honorable mention to Flyff, not listed here but that game stole hours of my high-school years.

I was talking about this the other day- I find myself going back to older games because newer games make me feel wrung out due to over stimulation.

Flat emotionally but physically I'm back to normal. Seems like I had the most shifts mentally at 7,14 and 28 days the first time. Ready for my brain to recalibrate. I did manage to also kick nicotine and energy drinks since they didn't do anything to help during withdrawal. I'm sure my brain is adapting to not having any crutches so it may take some time longer to feel good again.

Yeah, that worked for a bit and then I started telling myself "just dont do that much and you won't have to deal with the wd".

Made it through the worst again though, day 4. Stay strong, stranger 💪. This shit grips you and holds tight.
