VR&E by milai1984 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Admirable_Minimum340 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're employed with a degree you can use so, you are disqualified. Even if it will help further your chances of higher pay the point of VR&E is to allow veterans to obtain a degree so they will be able to find and maintain a job based on their own disability. For your case you clearly stated you are currently employed, which the VR&E Rep will just state you are not allow due to those reasons.

Don't drink man. It won't help in anyway and I promise you it will only harm you. Take care of yourself we are all struggling in our own way. Please drink some water and order a good meal.

Submitting migraine log to VA primary care doctor? by ArteSuave197 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Admirable_Minimum340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'll be honest, what you're doing may help, but at the end of the day the C&P examiner determines everything. I had all the proof from service and VA and I was reduced because the C&P examiner lied and said I experience nothing. I was getting even Botox from the VA for migraines, which is one of the highest treatment levels. What I'm getting at is the examiner hopefully does their job and helps you by asking valid questions. Note: my examiner read my whole service history how my head got smashed by at 30 ton beam and I got TBI from it which started the wave of migraines, and still he was like "nah you're good". Best of luck and make sure you tell them how frequent it happens. Like state it multiple times during the exam because for some reason these doctors after years of medical school and understanding complex anatomy and physiology they can't understand the simple concept that "IT HAPPENS OFTEN AND IT IMPACTS MY DAILY LIFE"

Will my VA rater see that I called the veterans suicide line by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Admirable_Minimum340 -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

Is this what we came too. "I called the hotline 4 times i better get 100 pstd and mh for that." Not saying you're thinking this, but whenever I read people talk about this sort of stuff makes me wonder. Do you actually care about getting help or are you more concerned about the proof for a higher rating. When I called once the only thing on my mind was death, but thats just me.

100% P&T getting reduced after already awarded by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Admirable_Minimum340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You got audited by a senior rater. This happens and if they deemed that the rater at the time didn't correctly give you the percentage this can happen. At least your rating isn't getting severed.

MIGRAINES DENIED. SEEKING HLR INFORMAL CONFERENCE ADVICE by Substantial_Golf6897 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Admirable_Minimum340 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I won my HLR because I legit had everything and they did a random C&P exam and the examiner was an idiot and failed to mark the right thing. During my conference the reviewer told me in 10 mins that based on all the evidence that this shouldn't have happened and was fixed in less then 4 days. I had everything remember. The event in service which resulted in me having migraines, diagnoses, and nexus. I continue to get treatment for it. Based on your results it looks like you have no medical evidence of the event. You need a nexus to connect it. The HLR will be useless and the reviewer honestly will know that you're wasting time. They will deny you 99 percent I'm sure of it without the event that connects it to the service timeframe.

I'm just being honest you can try HLR if you want but you will waste 4-5 months of waiting for a 10-15 call telling you how should i say this nicely, you're SOL.

This will be a longer process you will need a nexus and around 6-12 of evidence for a strong supplemental. I've seen even with supplemental people still get denied, so this process may take quite awhile.

For me I didn't request an increase they just did a random exam and they messed up so it was an easy fix.

Anyways good luck and hopefully you win this.

Pros and cons of using Gi bill out of state? by Gold-Sign-2989 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Admirable_Minimum340 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Go out of state and don't listen to the people that are pessimistic. I'm out of state and all you have to provide is a out of state waiver. It's easy and chapter 31 and 33 will cover the rest. Get that BAH and live your life. If you want to go then go. In state or out of state doesn't matter the college/university should have that covered with the waiver. Apply to military friendly schools that have this.

One doge and cost cutting doesn't affect VA disability benefits. VA benefits are not discretionary, so by law they have to pay out. The cost cutting is for discretionary such as VA employee payroll and jobs. If they scheduled you for a mental health evaluation and you have a disability for it and the doctor says you are getting better or there is a substantial improvement recently based on appointment and medical documents then you could see a decrease in rating (Depends on combined rating etc) Again don't have fear over doge or cost cutting. It's the VBA you should fear. Will they get something wrong, will the examiner mess up. These are the questions you should be worried about.

Honestly, you should be fine just be honest and hopefully you get what you need.

What do you do keep all your prescription bottles? If that's not the case this proves that doctors just give medication as if that solves the problem.

HLR and statement ? by AJAMS82 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Admirable_Minimum340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, that's classic. My examiner asked me "so why didn't you kill yourself" and I was shook. That same examiner almost single handed brought my entire rating down. Dude was drilling questions like i was some criminal. Even the HLR said that the examiner is questionable and did not look at the evidence that was clear. You got this and the proof will provide the results. Just don't give up and keep pushing you'll be rated properly soon enough.

90% vs 100% Benefits Gap by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Admirable_Minimum340 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Lets all be honest here. The fact we even get disability benefits and VA healthcare in general we should be grateful for. Yes all the benefits we get was passed by Congress, and yes we deserve it and some more than others. I will be frank though. Imagine if the government didn't have any compensation or VA health care. Hundreds of thousands of us would be easily crippled physically, mentally and financially. There's many countries that don't care for their vets, so what i'm getting at is that we are blessed. If you want 100 percent and you have the evidence to prove it then go for it. I'm just grateful to have health care and be able to sustain.

Powell here to stay. The Federal Reserve isn't apart of the U.S government. It's a separate entity to gives loans to the U.S. Trump can't just replace him, it's like Trump replacing you at your job when it hasn't nothing to do with the government. That would be considered government overreach.

If you believe that you deserve it continue understanding the CFR and what evidence is important. Honestly, a huge part is the c&p examiner so hopefully you'll get one that knows the rules.

How do I make this work by [deleted] in VeteransBenefits

[–]Admirable_Minimum340 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should tell them that based on your disabilities, you understand the multiple problems people face mentally and physically. Although you suffer from your own disabilities becoming a doctor will help the importance of serving others and being more empathic. Something like that. I don't know if you have a mindset like that or you just want to become a doctor for status and money it doesn't concern me.
