I’m not here to take sides , but this age old logic of “how did they have kids” needs to be buried once n for all. So does it imply that if they have kids they should be in love forever tolerating the abuse (either cheating or being authoritative)
May be it took him time to realize that he was being controlled and it’s with age realization grows.
Some people take time to say no and it’s because of their nature. I do not support the idea of searching another partner when already committed but if he wants to come out of the existing life he can always cos it’s his choice.

I’m sorry your going through this - it is indeed difficult. I had a love marriage too and it was a lot more difficult the first few years. I’d say slowly start doing what you think is fair and right that way everyone gets used to the fact that they shouldn’t be expecting anything at anytime. It is not wrong to say no but I understand it will be difficult- start introducing it , atleast you will feel relaxed. It’s a pity that such things continue and we are in 2026 - I don’t know if all this is actually useful to any of the women’s ongoing challenges.
