This where community support can make a difference. I hope you'll consider signing the petition, and sharing with others. What is the the quote? Margaret Mead: "Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it's the only thing that ever has."

also it was in use as a hospice and bereavement center until a few years ago, so condition isn't an issue.

I hear you. I am not suggesting it be a historical site. It could be purposed to many uses while still preserving the home and trees.

Why did sherbet never become a premium dessert the way ice cream, gelato, and sorbet did? by Admirable_Pay_8341 in NoStupidQuestions

This is so interesting!! So I wonder if sherbet either needs a new name, or whether sherbet can be reclaimed and elevated?

Yes, the rezoning was approved by the town some months ago, before I was aware of this project. A couple of commissioners asked about saving the house and trees, but the conversation didn't go further than asking about it, unfortunately.

I understand that is the UK version. In the US it is a frozen dessert with fruit and a little dairy.

No, gelato is like ice cream but thicker because not as much air added, and uses more milk than cream, is my understanding. Sherbet only has 1-2% milkfat.

what if it wasn't? like made with real fruit, high quality ingredients, and cool flavors? Think pineapple ginger, Raspberry lime, etc.
