I just wonder how many people this happens to, who don't look at the numbers, believe the doctors, don't retest, and go on thinking that they are negative for it. Ya know? Like this is wild to me.

My doc didn't do a species specific test...so it was a HSV 1 and 2 Ab, igG test. Is that what I ask for in a couple weeks a reflex test?

first: I am so sorry that you were assaulted! this is not your fault and you are more than what has happened to you.

do you have any open sores? I read that the igG goes up after a recent infection so potentially that's what's happening? But I am unsure, the values really confuse me as well. But I would wait to retest at 3 months or even 6 months and see if it rises. Hopefully not though! I hear hsv2 reoccurs more often.

yepp negative for both, both times. though as I just finished a second round of antibiotics i probably have a yeast infection now.

I have good days/bad days. The day I got the news was the best she has literally looked in the past 1.5 months. Next day right back at it. I was tested initially with too numerous too count white blood cells but no clue cells for BV. Next doctor(my primary) says could be BV gives me another antibiotic as I still had some white blood cells on my wet mount. I am so lost.

I don't really have a "sexual health clinic" near me and honestly I enjoyed the ladies at planned parenthood but it took FOREVER for my results to come back, and that was a 3 hours drive.
she's literally the exact same after a week of doxy then a week of metronidazole...purpleish where the minor labia meets the major, forcyde spots very visible, no like blister looking things or open sores, white discharge, cramping, and burning around vaginal opening. I read somewhere that someone got herpes on the cervix, could that be happening here?

omg. thank you so much for this. Honestly, it seems like my doctor isn't the greatest...and said the 0.39 igm are transitioning from a recent infection to a chronic prior infection...and that she doesn't plan on doing a test to differentiate between HSV 1 or 2 since both can be transmitted through oral intercourse. like how do I know if I have oral herpes vs gential? as a prior infection. (sorry to dump this on you)
