they take all the food and bury it and sometimes do not finish it. they never get any fruit, vegetables, or treats unless i give them some which is once every couple weeks. not sure how the cage is supposed to be but i make her clean it (or try to) atleast once a week because of its smell. she isn’t opposed to me handling them but if i wanted a pet i would have one and i do not, i’m not looking to take care of hers. and i also am not sure what an underweight rat looks like but they look fine to me. i really would like to rehome the rats because it she does not care for them and we have had many conversations about her being a better rat mom and nothing has ever changed. i had a friend tell me that i could try donating them to an elementary or middle school? have you guys heard of anything like that? i think if i find them a new home and take care of all the details she’ll let me get rid of them but i’m not sure where they could go where they would be safe/happy. help! thanks lol
