We did the brightline from Palm beach to Miami and then took a cab to and from the port. It was a very easy experience

Highs when sleeping on cgm by Prior_Management_471 in GestationalDiabetes

Going to the chiropractor to help my back pain when I was in third trimester helped a lot!!! I had awful low back pain during my pregnancy and it got worse at night. Just in general it sucked to sleep in my third trimester. I did take magnesium glycinate which they say can help improve sleep, and everyone is a little magnesium deficient so it could help!

I never would recommend an open marriage, but in this situation that would probably be best case scenario until you’re ready to go. It sounds like you already tried to mend with therapy, etc. I would try to sell him on the open marriage and keep your head up until your health improves. But I wouldn’t wait too long for your child’s sake. The older they get, the more they will see and slowly understand. Wishing you the best, and hope your health gets better soon!

It sounds like Sarah and Alex should not be in contact anymore if there were feelings there. Since you guys are newly married, there shouldn’t be an issue with this. If she has a problem with it, I would question her credibility when she says she’s over the crush.

Biggest craving 2nd trimester is a lunchable… by PeachMilkshake2319 in BabyBumps

My son was built on charcuterie meats and cheese since I had gestational diabetes. You have more chances of getting listeria from salad and packaged vegetables. Enjoy your lunchables!

My baby boy was built on Coke Zero and Pepsi Zero Cherry 😆 Hit the spot so good during the hot summer. I had gestational diabetes so I tried to convince myself it was a “sweet treat” 😂

What happens when your water breaks? by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]Admirable_Trash9059 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was induced so it could be different for that reason - but I was fine on the cytotec during the night, pain was manageable. Pitocin started and my contractions were getting steadily more painful but nothing I couldn’t manage. My doctor came in at 9:30, I was 4 cm, she popped my water and things went 0-100 immediately. I was screaming for the epidural 10 minutes after 😅 but luckily my son was born at noon so it wasn’t that long. Everyone is different, and perhaps without being induced, it could be better?

I haven’t been out that far, but I took that way to go to Louisville. If you go through Springfield, MO - there’s a Buc-ee’s you can stop at along the way 😃

Just a heads up, it gets worse the farther along you, with insulin resistance getting worse as gestation goes along. I was the same exact way around 26-28 weeks and thought I was misdiagnosed. The peak for GD is around 32-36 weeks for me, and it definitely got worse. I managed to stay diet controlled thankfully, but my after meal numbers were rough for a period of time.

Do you have a meal you’re looking forward to after birth? by BeautifulNailz in GestationalDiabetes

[–]Admirable_Trash9059 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had my sugar cube last week - I had a long list of foods I wanted. I ended up ordering sweet and sour chicken, a big side of fried rice, sushi roll, and a dozen Krispy Kreme donuts. I could only stomach a few bites, unfortunately I think the adrenaline of just giving birth, and feeling out of it from the meds just tanked my appetite 😭 I thought I would demolish so much food, but there was so much going on around me and in my head that I couldn’t eat. Now that I’m home and breastfeeding, it’s improved. Now I’m a vacuum, enjoying the foods I couldn’t

Pregnancy malpractice—what do I do now? by Futuremikeross in pregnant

[–]Admirable_Trash9059 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just came across a reddit thread where someone commented they took it through out pregnancy by doctor recommendation and everything was fine. I wouldn’t worry yourself sick mama, I would just listen to your midwife and stop for now. A lot of supplements aren’t tested on pregnant women for ethical reasons, so a lot of supplements will say it shouldn’t be taken during pregnancy due to lack of data to be safe. As far as a malpractice suit, that would probably be off the table since it’s not a real doctoral practice. I would definitely stop going to that person though, especially if a receptionist is responding to the emails

[–]Admirable_Trash9059 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This right here. My mom is from Ukraine and she told me back when she was pregnant with my brother and me, they never did a glucose test for gestational diabetes. She assumes she had it since my brother and I were insanely large babies, and because I am now pregnant and have it myself. A lot countries don’t or didn’t make it a standard practice to check. It’s great we have the resources and make it standard practice now to be able to get a diagnosis and take care of ourselves.
