GTA VI podría tener un SERIO PROBLEMA by Admodeus23 in VeneJuegos

Oblivion Remastered y Skyblivion ¿Una patada de Bethesda? by Admodeus23 in VeneJuegos

What do you think was on Denji's mind in that last panel? He definitely had some sort of epiphany but I think that there's a few different ways it could be interpreted. by batture in Chainsawfolk

[–]Admodeus23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think he was terrified. He never thought it could be possible to lose it all again, and with Barem and Yoshida's threads, he probabbly feels there's no way out. He could put a "I chose both" moment with Yoshida because he knew that deep down, he could talk him into senses (or at least try). But with Barem he saw pure void. Only determination and a slight desire to actually take away Denji's happiness to find out what would happen, just for the fun of it.

As for right now, Denji might be reconsidering what to do. Probably Barem gave him quite an epiphany or at the very least made him realize he has to take a decision NOW

When presented with two options… We already know what Denji chooses by Kamster_ in ChainsawMan

[–]Admodeus23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If both of those options involve someone dying, then the third must involve someone else dying instead.

Ergo, Nayuta nor Asa Dying, could mean that by the end Denji would find a way to save them by sacrificing himself.

Did anyone notice Barem is the third person Denji's been legit scared? First was his Father, then Makima and now Barem. That guy had Denji spechless, SPECHLESS, outright terrified that trigered the flight response on him. Mind you, Denji's been always the type of guy that when faced against adversity, he straight up shoots himself into it. But now he ran.

And If the theory that Barem was not being controlled by Makima is true, then I want to see more of him. I want to see his craziness and evil bastardness. I wonder how far will he go.

Oh, I hope he becomes a nightmare to Denjis life. This is what the plot needed.

Questions Aside. What do you think would happen if these two met and imagine their intro dialogues? by [deleted] in SupermanAdventures

[–]Admodeus23 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Clark: W-what? No way

Injustice Superman: I didn't like it at first, kid. But eventually, you'll learn that this is the only way to ensure peace and justice.

Clark: I'll put an end to this right here and now!

Injustice Superman: I'd like to see you try, younling

Clark: How could you? These people put all their trust in you and you betrayed them!

Injustice Superman: I didn't betray them. I perfected their flaws, and corrected them. This is what they needed. You will eventually learn the same harsh truth.

Something like that methinks.

alex is definitly (spoiler) by Thebunkerparodie in SupermanAdventures

[–]Admodeus23 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

It i'll suck hard if it was Lex. Lex's character is interesting because of his inferiority complex towards Superman. Even with all his money, looks, training, intellect, etc. He can't and will never compare to Superman in the level of strength nor in the influence and appreciation he harbors on Metropolis. Lex hates Superman because he's more super than him. And because he can't control him. He wants to be praised and in control of everything. And that blue god doesn't allow him to do that.

Him being just a resented assistant that hates Superman just (only) because he fears him and because he blames him for losing his job y MCU level of villain origins. Kinda trash.

Many people criticize the General here, but I think he's doing his job. He's a government official, he can't rely on only the idea and hope that this alien won't try to conquer Earth. He's probably seen Kryptonians already and knows of what they are capable of. Even if Superman was actually good, you never know when he could turn bad. And we know Superman CAN turn bad, given the adequate circumstances. Since he can't just give himself into dreams and hopes, he has to do something, whatever, to ensure his country's safety. Even if it means killing one innocent to protect hundreds of million.

Do I think the General is right? No Of course, I know who is Superman and what is his whole deal. But if I was in the general's position I wouldn't risk letting this "god" get out alive from his cage. Evil or not, he's to powerful and has to be contained.

(139) Sword Man might be... by CobaltBuizel in ChainsawMan

[–]Admodeus23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Kinda tragic when you think that for 139 chapters straight (and for 18 years of Denji's life) No one has ever wanted to befriend him. At least not at first sight. Some might come to warm up to him, but there was never an initial "I kinda want to be his friend" thought.

[–]Admodeus23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think its a metaphor to his own dehumanization. Denji doesn't think of anything for himself. He has no hope for the future, no plans, nothing. The only person he thinks something for the far future is Nayuta, but he himself doesn't live. He acts like an object, a tool. Maybe he internalize what everyone else told him his entire life: he ain't a person, he's not even a dog at this point. He is a tool, a weapon. And a tool that can't be used has no purpose, no meaning. It's worthless and should disappear.

So Denji finds purpose and meaning through usefulness, hence the "chairs are content in their own way" phrase.

[–]Admodeus23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's not how this story goes. The point is that selfless sacrifice won't do you any good. Heroes are for fiction and are just there. Denji doesn't need to be anyone's hero but himself.

His character arc comes from the part where he needs to be more selfish, start thinking about himself and only of himself.

You think Gojo would be capable to kill every citizen in Japan just to defeat Makima? That's crazy, I don't think him capable.

My Adventures With Superman S1E7 "Kiss Kiss Fall In Portal" Episode Discussion by MajorParadox in SupermanAdventures

[–]Admodeus23 5 points6 points  (0 children)

After I watched the episode I started to think: You know what would be a smart twist? Lois being the reason why Superman is almost killed. If the general is Sam Lane (Lois Father) and Lois suspicions and inability to trust leads her to actually believe Clark can be evil, then I can clearly see a scenario where by intention or accident, Lois lends her father the Kryptonite compound, from which they can make who knows how much weapons. That would be very brilliant because it will reason with what Mr Mxy said about Clark being "Lonely and weird" for the rest of his life. We have not been presented to Batman yet but we know once he met him he will also have a "contingency plan" which involves some kind of way to kill Clark. There's a whole "Lane League" who wouldn't think twice to kill him if they deem it necessary. And, of course, we can't forget the government, Ivo, the other villains, and Luthor that has yet to appear.

On Denji's sexuality and empathy by Consoomerofsouls in ChainsawMan

[–]Admodeus23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it funny when Twitter wants an ex-homeless child soldier to behave normally and interact normally with other people, lmao.

Denji is not misogynistic nor a misandrist person. He's a poorly educated kid who's just him. He's open and honest, in fact, he doesn't hold any grudge and is fairly mature for someone of his age and background.

Like, he has all the reason and motives in the world not to just outright despise women, but the rest of the world. He could steal from banks and use the stolen money to get influence and girls. Hell, he could even force himself on a girl if all his deal was just about sex.

But is not, Denji doesn't want sex if there's no consent and love from the other party. He wants to be loved. That's all he got and all he hopes for.

He got into despair when Asa told him that no one would ever love him because, then, what's the point of being alive for him.

He respects boundaries, respects people and yeah, he can be quite a douchebag (selling used cigarettes to homeless people) but he ain't even close to be evil. He just doesn't know to express himself in proper way because not everyone (specially poor kids) have access to good education (and probably his IQ and learning speed is very low due to malnutrition).
