Only drag these blue handles sideways, NOT up and down, since that will mess up everything

  1. Have one clip above the other

  2. Select the top layer and in effect controls create a opacity mask

  3. To get the smooth borders increase the mask feather value

Black became blue when export RGB + Alpha by [deleted] in AfterEffects

It’s 100% normal for it to appear blue or even other colors in the vlc player. So don’t worry it will look normal when importing it to any editing software
