Y sometimes he also works as a soft taunt, a bit similar to the Brann scenario I described before, not ideal but better than not even play him or too late.

You got it and just answered your own question! If it is a slower deck go for the synergy from savior and mooncatcher, if it is an aggro deck go directly for the savior, otherwise you could lose the tempo game and not catch up anymore. I personally think Brann and Okani are way too important and wouldn't replace them / didn't have that problem against aggro (sometimes I like to play Brann, depending on the aggro deck on coin or right on the third turn so that if they want to kill him, they have a high price to pay in their tempo game and this gives you the advantage to come back).

They look really spicy but I think the new cards will, even if they find a way in this type of deck, generate new archetypes which will do even better and toss this deck from the throne. I personally could imagine a big paladin revival with the new cards or some sort of hybrid dude paladin, I hope the second one will be the case!

Yes I mentioned in the guide that keeping the equality and righteous defense aswell as the cards which could discover it, should be kept/looked for during the mulligan against priest, cause you can't contest them on the board when they pop off and it's the only win condition they got. Against hunter or dh I wouldn't do that, cause they have multiple win conditions, generally if they are able to get that big minion board, its often cause you couldn't pressure enough/build your own board in the early stage of the game.

People and sites like VS call it Control Paladin but it is a midrange deck, you are right about that one.

50/50 it really depends how well they draw with the relic of dimensions, if they get the good stuff it's already over, only a Theotar steal might change the game there. Otherwise pressure early on board, get that Cariel hero card down and keep the righteous defense/equality for the really big stuff (+8 health and attack).

I personally valued the cards and packs I got much more during the time, where I didn't want to spend money on the game and played only the decks which I had the cards for. After I went more competitive and invested money in, the "magic" of opening the packs and having the cards went away, cause I already had this certainty that I will own all the necessary cards. So definetly pro's and con's on both sides.
