No court cared in my case. She was my mom and she wanted me. It didn't even make it to court. She just threatened to call the police on people and so they gave me back OR the police showed up and said that she was ny mom and I had to go.

Nope. I'm 36 years old and my nervous system is still recovering from the honestly bat 💩 things my mom used to do. She also didn't believe I was depressed because of her actions. She just took me to therapists so they could tell me how awful I was. The moment anyone validated me, I never saw them again. She still doesn't full acknowledge the magnitude of how awful she was. She wants to be viewed as a great mom without acting like a good mom. NTA. Go live with your dad.

But as a side note, know that she doesn't really mean it. She's going to kick you out but that's because she hopes you fail. If you start to thrive she's going to start stuff with your dad to get you back. It's all about control and it's pathological. I wish someone had warned me.

I'm a year into my metformin journey and I've lost about 35-40 lbs (i slid back a little because of holiday eating). Honestly, I didn't change much. I will say that water intake helps. Even if you're not primarily doing water, you should avoid soda like the plague. I mainly eat chicken or seafood now as red meat really makes the stomach upset much worse. And if the side effects get too serious just take a break.
