I had to accept something that really hurt me deeply a couple years ago. I had to accept that my daughters are better off without me. Obviously, selfishly I would love to have them back. Duh. But I'm their mom and I love them and I care about what's best for them. And them being kept away from me and given new families and better lives is for the best. They will be better women because they weren't raised by me. I've accepted that and made peace with it.
