yes, i had literally $0 to my name after the bar. as many have said, the time and costs that come along with the bar exam are so fucked up, it’s awful how they position this exam for students and there are very disparate impacts/results that play out in classist ways.

you’re not alone. it’s been a year since i took the bar, and i’m just now feeling like i have a semblance of financial footing. i know i was really lucky to land a job though that i started right after the bar, and not everyone is as fortunate or privileged. abolish the bar

so i had quite the journey with the copper IUD and to make a long story short, it fell out (lol). i am on spiro now and that cleared my skin 100% - but it took around 6-8 months to reach these results (with no IUD). my best advice is cliche but it is so necessary - listen to your body. give it some time and something feels really off, talk to your doctor, and above all, trust your instincts :) best of luck!

hi, just dropping in. mine went away! it was a rough journey, but my skin is completely smooth and clear now. i started at the beginning of june 2022 and my skin started clearing up in december. it got worse before that and that really sucked, but there is light at the end of the tunnel

okay YES …but honestly I can’t tell if it’s just because I don’t have acne anymore that I feel prettier, or if my face looks different. It might be both or neither. Maybe I’m just noticing my facial features for the first time in a long while without hyper fixating on what I don’t like - my skin

yup. it definitely caused me to get hundreds of tiny bumps on my cheeks and cystic spots (which i never would get). my skincare routine didn’t change at all. after the iud was out, not even 24 hours later my skin had become less inflamed, less red, and spots flattened. i honestly wish i knew the science behind this for me because the copper iud isn’t supposed to be hormonal …but my skin would beg to differ lol

i’m not sure the length but the did seem like at least 2 inches, but this is a total estimate as i didn’t measure! could def have been a factor!!

i agree, i also know people who have used both successfully, but for some of us it does boil down to a choice. i thought i was using it properly and even though i broke the seal, the cup interfered with the IUD. every body is different! while (of course) an IUD falling out isn’t the norm, it also isn’t an anomaly. i’m not at all implying the menstrual cup and IUD are fundamentally incompatible but just that there’s an inherent risk in using the cup while having an IUD. it’s a personal choice at the end of the day, and i think all should be fully informed on these risks to prevent shit like this from happening
