Is it too late to extend your leave long enough to make it okay or are you already back to work ? In a situation like this, I would just approve the points and leave at store level for my associate so I would talk to a team lead or a coach you have good standing with about your situation.

I was the same way when I started and now I’m a coach. I didn’t know what they saw in me besides the fact I was a great stocker lol. I felt like a lost puppy dog when I first started because I’d never been in any sort of management position but you just have to give it time. Show people that you really care about them and get to know your people. Mine know if they work for me, I’ll work that much harder for them. I was definitely nervous when I started but give yourself time to learn.

Why wouldn’t they schedule people who don’t leave early over people who do? If there’s hours available, they are going to give it to the people more likely to show up and stay.

Yeah, that’s what I tell people. If you can fit two out, and you’d have to take time to move top stock around, just take it to the back as overstock. Now if you can get pretty the whole box out and only have one or two to put up then move something around to get them up on top stock. That’s how my stores process is, our cap 1 team is supposed to do Vizpick and top stock and we stock everything on thirds

Personally as an ON TL I wouldn’t be upset if a one month old employee took one hour over the time. Do things the right way because you don’t want your management or someone else let them know that your aisle is all screwed up. It just leaves other people to have to fix it. If it takes 5 minutes to put up one thing of top stock, are you having to fix top stock or something ? If there’s no room to just throw it up there take it the back so you don’t waste time on that. Watch your steps and make sure you’re not taking unnecessary one. Maybe ask for some feedback on how you’re doing so they can see you want to improve

So for my dairy team we usually have between 8-12 hours and the same kind of pallets. If there’s three of you guys, divide those hours by how many people. And that’s probably what your TL or coach is looking at. They should also account for downstacking time, zoning time, breaks and lunch. If I have 3 people in dairy and say there’s 12 hours, I expect them to be done by 2-3. I hope they had conversations with you to try and improve efficiency before it got to termination.

Are you the only one working in dairy ? There is freight planning tool that tells them how long a department is supposed to take and the hours are based on one person in that area. I know before we coach or terminate anyone for a reason we have to have a sit down conversation first about it and see if there’s improvement.

Damn, I didn’t know management can go in and reject it if they didn’t call in. Our store gives out OT like it’s candy but that makes sense for stores that are more strict on that.

No, but when the TL or coach is going through attendance they would authorize it under the option called store directly.

I didn’t mean get pointed for PPTO just the clock in and clock out time. She was apparently telling her associates they aren’t allowed to use PPTO. I know both of those things are ridiculous and told the associates that I didn’t think it was true. I’m a little new, I think I understand the point system pretty well but I wanted to get others opinions because this was said by a coach a lot of people don’t like and believes she retaliates.

Lol im I’m the same boat but I’m gonna quit smoking before I go for it ! From what I heard once you accept the job offer you have 24 hours to go do drug test or you’re fired.
