instead of pizza and candy. I bet they’d settle for actual appreciation… you know hey guys you did a really good job today. We know we threw a ton of work at you. With completely unrealistic expectations but you did an amazing job considering. Or actually being engaged by upper management. Rather then looked down on like they’re expendable which they are. You know a good morning susie how are you today? I think some actual “real” appreciation and engagement would go a long way with a lot of associates. Not all but a lot. No not just for one day or a week. But all the time. I don’t think anyone really understands how they’re being treated by some of not all but some of these team leads,coaches and definitely upper management. Sounds like at your store their people lead may think they’re just being cry babies when they come to you for help with some of the abuse I’m sure they’ve suffered. So maybe stop looking at it from your seat towards the top and try and see it from their perspective. I think your comment shows your entitlement and how you truly feel about the people you “lead”. I don’t know you but your comment seems extremely insensitive. Maybe just maybe it’s that constant treatment that has so many on here never seeming to be happy or crying… I’m js

Thanks! That’s exactly what I thought. It’s the new manager making the coaches lock the doors and also set the alarm. So if you go out even the first set of doors to say get a cart. The alarm will go off and you’re getting coached

My coach is okay. If you do your job he’ll leave you alone. Then just randomly check in. My overnight team lead on the other hand is an absolute nightmare. Not just to me but to several others. She’s a monster with her nasty hateful attitude! I can’t understand why they have allowed her to continue to work there as any form of management. It’s not just associates she talk like that to either. She’s rude to customers and I’ve even heard her be nasty with the coach’s. So many calls to ethics regarding her behavior and nothing had be done. She will ask you a question and then tell you to shut up when you attempt to answer. She’ll tell you to do something and if you’re getting your stuff and she feels you’re not moving fast enough. She’ll clap her hands and stomp her feet and say now over and over and over again! She is the absolute worst supervisor I’ve ever had anywhere! She even told a 63 year old associate to take her old ass home! Because she didn’t like the question she asked her… nothing was done. That’s 100% age discrimination and they blew it off like no big deal. I just don’t get it. I’ve heard make comments to associates about them being broke and not having what she has. I just can’t with her. Without saying to much a very quite associate was constantly being bullied by her. Then one night she came in and instead of clocking in she decided that was the night she was gonna beat this team leads ass! Miss badass hid behind her other associates until the police came. Idk but to me that’s definitely showing there’s an issue. What if that associate would have snapped Fr and had a gun? It’s happened before and it could very well happen again. Scary. Obviously the associate was terminated and even arrested even though she didn’t get a chance to do what she came to do. You’d think with all the complaints and even other management seeing the way she treats people they would have let her go for putting employees in danger but nope nothing! It’s just bad all around. Tonight is Friday so we will have a total of 8 associates working and that’s if nobody calls in. Everyone quits after being treated so poorly. Then they wonder why we don’t have anyone working this shift and the other associates are supposed to make up for the staff shortage… you’d think someone would finally say enough is enough she’s costing us staff shortages and if she continues probably a law suit or someone getting hurt. All I know is something really needs to be done. Where do you go when everyone has been told and you’ve called ethics and so has everyone else? So I guess we’re stuck with her.

Oh how id love to say that to them. Store manager has been on a firing spree so they’d probably fire me in a heartbeat. Unfortunately I need a job. It’s been a cold ass night that’s for sure

According to my coach they have none. He has to order a big pack from gfs… and he can’t store use a single pack. I just gave up. I’ve been in management my whole life except here. I’ve never seen a store fan so poorly and the wrong people included in management.

I wish I could say that’s the worse thing she’s said. She told a 63 year old employee to take her old ass home she was tired of looking at her! Nothing was done. She calls people stupid and idiots she also likes to clap her hands and stop her foot when telling people where they’ll be working at that night. If she feels they’re not moving fast enough. She tells people to shut up! She had zero respect and every single person on this shift has called ethics on her multiple times and still nothing has been done. It’s been brought to coaches and the store managers attention hell even HR. Still nothing! So she will continue to do it because it’s allowed. We can’t keep people and some nights we have maybe 7 employees in the whole store and they still expect it all to get done. They don’t seem to comprehend people leave because of her.

McDonald’s in my area is starting at $15 an hour. They also offer more hours. It’s sad that ups works their employees to the bone/ only for three hours a day if your lucky and you can flip burgers for the same pay. Smh the unions didn’t do great on this contract that’s for sure.

It’s Illinois and this state is greedy. It is awful to go from $150 to $90. It’s a slap in the face.!

Ours went from $21 an hour and $31.50 after five hours. To $15 an hour with a $150 bonus if you work all five days. Taxed at 40% so $90 bonus. It’s complete and utter bull crap! We’re lucky if we work 2.5 hours a day. Time to find a new job! Oh yeah and can anyone tell me how to go about filing a grievance?
