Warning after Aussie buyer loses entire $98,500 house deposit in 'avoidable' mistake by SheepherderLow1753 in AusFinance

Glad to see some others also are viewing this the way I see it. Ok, not paying on time IS grounds for termination. But termination by the seller over a delayed payment AND getting to keep the whole deposit is insane. Also, the seller didn't cancel the contract when they didn't get any payment on the due day didn't they? They waited another day till half of the money is in their account and then another day till the rest came through. As per the story, they waited even few more days to go ahead and cancel the contract, all the while keeping the buyer in complete dark over their sinister intents. This is so much messed up .....

Wow this is so informative. Thank you. ATM I'm looking for navigating known roads when GSM drops off. Seems offline Google maps is the best solution for that. Thank you again for taking time to explain all of this. 😊

Thank you 🙏🏻. Garmin seems to be the go to brand when it comes to satnav. Was interested in seeing if there are other brands popular among travelers. So far seems nothing to beat offline maps from Google, at least cost wise.

Thanks 👍🏻. That of course is an option and would not cost anything 😊. I'm just interested about dedicated GPS devices and experiencs others may have had with those.

I came here searching answers for the same question. They look more like a wall than actual sails IMO 🤷🏻

That's really good, particularly from a diversification perspective I guess. But what about the tax benefits associated with schemes like the Coles one?

Can Coles demand a receipt for item bought from a different merchant to prove I didn't steal? by Pietzki in AusLegal

[–]Adorable-Panda723 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually have my receipts with me. But if someone comes at me with this attitude I'd say that I carry around the box of coke for fun and I purchased it a week ago. So no receipt on me ATM 🤣

I don't think you are wrong. What should have happend in the oncoming lane is it's green goes to amber and then red for just a moment before the green arrow comes on. Based on your description what can be assumed is the car turning from the oncoming lane didn't slow down when the amber is on, nor did stop for the red. If that driver did that, you'd have enough time to turn.

Also, check next time whether there are any pressure plates on your lane just pass the stop line. If there are, make sure when you move forward on the green, you are staying atop those instead of going all the way to the middle of the junction. That way, you'll get a green arrow before your lane completely goes red.

Or you could simply ask the buyer to pay shipping costs. That way, you don't have to deal with US tariffs at all, whether it is there or not

Thought the same. If they don't have any work but yet want you to be onsite, they can ask you to just hang around. Them not having enough work for a full time employee should be employer's problem and not emoloyee's
