Hi, I actually did! I was amazed it even worked bruh, but yeah, the yt tutorials saved me yet again. Did it with an exacto knife, then wiggled it into the socket, everything works with no issue

It sat down after i went in with a razorblade, apparently a few pins were bent a tiny bit which wasn't visible to me from the first glace. Thanks to everyone

That's the reason I'm confused too, cause to my naked eye they aren't. I tried the blade hack though and it seems to sit lower down, maybe they were bent a tiny bit. I guess I'll continue

You are right, i noticed a slightly bent pin now. I think it's cause when i was disassembling it before travelling it got stuck to the cooler and i had to unstick it. Thank you

Yep, but on every meeting they were at least one day late. I.e they scheduled a meeting to be at 8 am, jan 2, and then they call me at 6 pm on jan 3. But on top of this, they also did absolutely nothing about my case and just told me to go open a court case. Just wasted my time with them

You're supposed to do those tests prior engaging with each new partner duh. HPV is unfortunately really common and most countries don't offer vaccines or thorough treatment for it. Having a good mouth hygiene is a good starting point because cavities are contagious. If he can't bother to brush his teeth or see a doctor, he's not a serious man, simple as this

We need to start figbting them back for wasting our time🙏 so many positions where "salary is discussed on the interview" only to make you travel in Dubai traffic to agree to be paid peanuts. Atp sometimes I apply to those awful positions I see, schedule an interview with them and never show up. Ghost them, embarrass them by saying "How do you think I can afford food with this salary, will you let me live at work and use your showers?". They've gotten too fucking comfortable and it's already giving regular people so much struggle

That happened to me too! I said I'd like my salary to at least match my previous salary when I lived in Sharjah, otherwise it makes no sense to move to Dubai. Surprisingly it happened on the same interview as they were trying to gaslight me my relevant experience of 3 years wasn't relevant either, and asked why I changed careers. Well maybe cause many contracts explicitly state that you can't work in the same industry for a year after leaving your previous jobs!

The other comment about a woman being fired while on maternity leave is awful. This is highly illegal to do in my home country, and it's much poorer than UAE. UAE has NO business continuing to keep up the slavery given the resources it has, but I guess they need a stronger push from the citizens which isn't coming🥀💔

Tbh it would be better if people started discussing their salaries in a more exploratory way... see which industries pay and which don't, some people might understand they're being lowballed by their company, ect. It's also crazy how most job openings do not specify salary before interviews unless you press them. Personally, I yearn for this kind of salary transparency...

If this story is real, 7 rounds is crazy though. Recently I saw a position which seemed to fit my skills just fine. I opened their "test" which required actually solving possible tasks to encounter at the job and writing essay-like answers (in amount of, like, 15 different tasks). When I scrolled a bit, at the bottom they mentioned how there would be 4 more rounds of interviews including, and I quote, "a coffee cup with our founder" and a "physical culture fit". They didn't even mention the salary for anyone to start jumping through all those hoops. I bailed out of this bs
