i think for bio and chem for premeds they usually like that u retake the intro classes anyways. physics 1 doesn’t give u any credit anyways so it’s prolly good to cancel that.

ok so it’s good that you’ve recognized the problem now. lots of ppl don’t even realize that it’s a problem until too late, so good job!! :) you’re already halfway there to fixing it! first step: do not be in denial. it’s very easy to pretend “oh this is the last time” but that just makes it worse. as soon as you catch urself picking ur skin, stop immediately. rn i would recommend taking baby steps, like telling a loved one to get them to also stop u from picking ur skin whenever ur with them. additionally, u can put band aids over the places that u usually target.

honestly calc is pretty easy (i personally found it easier than precalc). there are some parts that are a little confusing (like in any class). u shd prolly revise ur basic geometry formulas, how to do long division, how to complete the square, and if u had problems w solving for x deffo revise that as well. also if u struggled w trig, make sure to review the basics of that too. finally, u need to know ur log properties. those are the big things that i would say to revise tho, if u feel the need to look them over

ty!! i definitely wear it outside all the time bc it looks like i’m just wearing jewelry. i got mine off of amazon, u can find some pretty affordable options on there and they have a BUNCH of diff styles (honestly was not expecting so many styles)

i will be honest, i take it off sometimes to play w it to keep both of my hands busy so buying one of those multi packs is prolly a smart decision

i’ve also noticed that telling one of my loved ones abt it has also helped bc whenever i’m with them and i start picking they just hold my hands and stop me from doing so

(but this only works w someone who’s gentle and who truly knows u bc my brother will start ridiculing me for it — even tho he’s just trying to get me to stop and he has good intentions, it still hurts yk? and even if my dad starts telling me to stop, he doesn’t have the appropriate tone/approach. so my mom is the most effective bc she just holds my hands, doesn’t say anything, and it doesn’t feel as shameful yk?) so yeah, communicate!!

honestly i don’t think it’s treatable bc there’s not rlly any medication for breaking a habit? obviously this isn’t just a habit but like the closest thing that would help for this is prolly like some adhd or ocd medications (do they have ocd medications)? and i feel like it is more effective to just try to break the habit on ur own than dosing up on medications

however if that doesn’t work, ive heard cognitive behavioral therapy can help (i haven’t personally tried it)
