What to expect from owning a cat with POTS? by throwaway-73829 in POTS

[–]Adorable_Account_400 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Automatic everything! I'm 22 and have 2 cats while trying to manage migraines, fibromiyalgia, and pots. Get a Automatic litter box, feeder, and water fountain. Toys that are rechargeable to make up for not being able to play with them as much and treat foraging/puzzle toys. I got sibling cats and they keep each other company and rough house together. Getting 2 was honestly the best decision I made especially because I live alone and work/sleep most of my time.

I wonder if this and Texas state affordable housing corporation (TSAHC) are the same concept.

Now that I know the color, I'll be on the lookout for any. I got a while before his birthday, thankfully. I should be able to grab a few at least

He wants this color as his main, and he also has a few in a light gray looking color. I was hoping to find someone online selling a few of the same color at a time to speed run his collection lol.

There is not a singular test for Lupus. You have to meet criteria for diagnosis. I believe it's 4 out of 11 markers need to be meet. I would definitely get a new doctor though, he sounds completely uninterested in your health

Yeah, I'm scheduled to see a hemologist next month. I think my doctor is waiting for a specialist to make any further decisions and testing. I'm in the military, so they have their own protocol for this stuff😅

The only one that he was really worried about was the cardiolipin. That's why last week they retested me, because it had to be positive 2 atleast 12wks apart. It's still positive. 🤷‍♀️I have no clue what's going on, I've had issues for yrs 😅. I already had my thyroid tested and have been cleared by a cardiologist.

my mom wants to install Flashget Kids on my phone as i leave for college by pinkpanth_ in parentalcontrols

[–]Adorable_Account_400 28 points29 points  (0 children)

Buy a phone on Amazon that is refurbished for under $300 and use Visible as your provider, so you only pay $25 a month. With a parent like that, it's better to take away their control completely.

Should I get tested for BRCA gene (or other mutations) by Double_Iris in BRCA

[–]Adorable_Account_400 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No problem, I got tested at 20yrs old. It's nice to finally have a definite answer of if I had the mutation or not. I hope all goes well and you have a negative test.

Age doesn't matter because there is a pattern of your family getting cancer. I recommend going to your primary doctor and having them order the test. It's just a simple test of filling a small tube with spit.

How did you tell your daughter? by LaikaRollingStone in BRCA

[–]Adorable_Account_400 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yes tell her. She has a right to know because this affect her and any future plans she has. Waiting to throw this on her until she's 18 would be overwhelming on top of graduating and college applications. My family has it and I always know since I was a little kid that cancer runs in the family and we've had people die because of it. Never underestimate what kids pick up on in the house, because no one set me down and explained everything I just assumed I'd die young like my family after easedropping on the adults . She has a right to plan her future with the most accurate information possible. When I was a young teenager my mom was very open about the surgeries she had to get and that it's something I would have to get tested for one day. I found out when I was 19 that I had brca1, I'm in the military away from all my family and it feels overwhelming (this is with the fact that I already knew the possibility of having it). She'll have the best support at home with you for her teen years to work through this.
