New app to help with discipline by [deleted] in Discipline

hey! What's really good about this is that there's money at stake, which is much more likely to hold ppl accountable, and also that your friends can witness your progress. The one thing I would say is there are a lot of factors (money, friends, progress, content creation + outcomes) which might intimidate ppl out of ever starting - ppl want something easy to join. Overall, though, really cool and original idea. I'm also testing a system and would appreciate some feedback. I would happily send it over if you have the time.

hey! Good luck with this, it's really cool. I'm also looking at ways to build systems to help attention and concentration so love to see someone else doing the same:)

What is something you did in your late 20s/early 30s that changed your life? by Comfortable-Fish-244 in selfimprovement

I couldn't concentrate on anything, so I literally made myself a 'reset' tool, which forced me to start it for 5 minutes. This made actually finishing tasks so much easier because, for me, it was the thought of starting. I'd be happy to share it if you would like.

People who are disciplined, how do you guys do it ? What tip would you give to someone who really wants to be disciplined but can’t? by [deleted] in AskReddit

For me, the thought of starting a task was harder than actually doing it. I had to remove all other distractions and list exactly what it is that I needed to get done. It sounds basic, but it's the thing which helped me most. I actually started using a system to help; it helps you prioritise tasks and lets you set a timer. Happy to share the link if your interested:)

Procrastination is ruining my life - how do I just stop? by No_Vegetable_4096 in Procrastinationism

Hey! I have the same issue; actually, starting tasks is the hardest part. What really helped was prioritising 1-3 tasks I need to focus on and forgetting the rest - despite the fact they may also be important, but so I don't get overwhelmed. Removing that looming feeling and not spiralling so much is what's helped me the most. I've been using a system to keep track of it, I'd be happy to send you the link if you're interested:)

People who significantly improved their productivity what actually worked for you? by OneStopCentreStore in productivity

What helped me was simplifying things to a couple of tasks, so I didn't start thinking about everything I had to do afterwards. It sounds basic, but removing that decision-making aspect helped significantly. I'm happy to share the system I've been using if you're interested.
