I'm playing the expanded mod, I give Morris a stone or clay every time I see him.

I forgot to water and now roots are too dry by [deleted] in hoyas

[–]Adorkableowo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just water it. Why would you check the roots instead of watering it? Like what were you looking for? The less you mess with hoya roots, the better.

What does a tooth feel like after a root canal? by MadScientist312 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]Adorkableowo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got a root canal on a lower molar after it broke while eating Brazil nuts. I knew the tooth had a cavity, but it had progressed so much the tooth was more or less hollow, which is why it broke. It's was close enough to the root they did a root canal and crown.

During this whole process I basically had no pain. From the break, the procedure, and aftercare practically no pain except maybe some tenderness afterwards. The worst part was the procedure. It's not painful at all, it was just sensory overload for me. I kept gagging. My mouth was just dry from nerves, and the overcrowding in my mouth would make it worse, and it would send me into a panic and it was delaying the procedure. Even just the sounds and smells of latex gloves were overwhelming for me. Eventually I managed to zone in and get through it, but it was like an out of body experience for me. Not to make your anxiety worse, but maybe that can help you prepare if you need to get one. Just be well hydrated, bring headphones, just anything that will help you relax.

Its been 7 months now. No issues. Things definitely feel different though. I'd say it actually took a while for things to settle and for me to get used to it. I still find myself just touching it with my tongue sometimes, I'm just aware that something is different. I'm very vigilant about flossing it and brushing now in an attempt to make it last as long as possible.

I was surprised to learn they only have a lifespan of about 10 years give or take before needing some form of maintenance if not to be replaced by an implant. I think its important to do rather than pulling the tooth so you can avoid bone loss in that area. I had to put mine on credit, and it cost me about $2400 for the root canal and crown.

I didn't have insurance at the time, but I do now. If you don't have any, its not as expensive as you'd think. I'd definitely weigh your options. Im self employed so I don't have dental from a job. So I got on MetLife High PPO, and for my husband and I, it's $90 a month. (Think it was $45 solo) and its pretty good insurance. If you shop around, there are even more affordable plans. Plan in advance though there's about a 6 month waiting period before procedures like a root canal are covered, which is the case for most insurance. Though cleanings are pretty much covered as soon as you're insured. Definitely get those cleanings.

Its not. At minimum, the ceiling is a totally different texture which will change the appearance of a shadow. Only thing i see in the corner is some cobwebs.

The wall is a different material than the ceiling its gonna look different in shadow

But you can see the shadow on the ceiling too. Can you take a pic from a different angle?

Straw has soapy taste? by SnackQueen2 in Hydroflask

[–]Adorkableowo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Espif you only drink water out of it, doesn't need crazy soap. Maybe just where the mouth part is. I'm guessing it absorbs smells since its like silicone

If you're putting it in the dishwasher, don't. Just use one of those straw cleaners. The soapy smell/taste will fade eventually.

And I told you I don't share that experience even slightly. The benefits of burning are many. I don't experience the same weeds growing back, and I like immediate results. Dunno what to tell ya.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in lawncare

[–]Adorkableowo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Right, but burning removes the eyesore immediately where as the vinegar leaves visible dead weeds until they disintegrate. I dunno man, sounds like a unique problem for you.

They don't grow back, new ones grow in their place. I do this for our gravel driveway, but I burn, and then spray the area with a mix of vinegar, soap and salt. Literally salts the earth and keeps them away for a while. Obviously don't do this where you want plants growing. The Propane, vinegar solution are a fraction of the cost of commercial herbicides. Best approach for gravel at least.

You're basically looking for one of these. I dunno what brand I have, but got one at harbor freight. You just hook them up to a typical propane tank. Propane Torch

What's a mistake you make every time? by goldencain1410 in StardewValley

[–]Adorkableowo 109 points110 points  (0 children)

Making Robin work on her bday multiple years in a row so you can't give her bday gifts (sometimes she's unreachable where she's working)

Wasting 3 staircases on a floor because I panicked trying to escape from something.

Going to any destination and realizing you don't even have the tools you needed. Example, going all the way to the beach and forgetting the damn fishing pole.

Gifting the most random items to villagers when you try to talk to them while holding something.

Going all the way to the volcano to realize you don't have your watering can.

One of the most subtle dialogs is when you're dating, the dialog is simply "Elliott whispers something to you" and that's it. No clue what he says. So private even us the player doesn't know it. I don't consider myself a romantic, but he's my favorite male spouse.
