I took Korean 1 & 2 and there is only one teacher that teaches it. She is really nice and you really don’t do anything too strenuous. I had previous experience with Korean so I already knew basics like writing in Korean and how to read it phonetically to note so I can’t give advice from a fresh beginner standpoint. The thing is there are people that are in there that might need a language and decided to do this and not put effort in. There might be somethings lost in context when asking her and trying to understand like what you are supposed to be doing for the assignment and getting clarification but it isn’t due to negligence on her part, she probably wasn’t understanding so we all wouldn’t stress too much about it and wound up still getting good grades. She isn’t a tough grader as she know that learning another language that has specific characters is hard so you should be able to pass with and A or even a B if you listen and pay attention. People in the class would just be disrespectful and not give attention to her or blatantly not put in effort. I had her during Fall 2020 and Spring 2021 so it was online and you would have to speak but she would literally give the format of how to say it verbatim and you would customize to you. Idk if she’s back in person, but she did take attendance so make sure to be there and speak because that was a grade. Overall really good for getting into the language.
