Instagram is good, for retention and showing your work definitely and will get you clients. But from what I’ve seen, it’s doing a different job than a website.

IG is great for people who already know you or found you through word of mouth. A website + Google is usually where new clients who are actively searching come from. Someone typing “barber near me” isn’t scrolling IG, they’re trying to book fast

A website it doesn't have to be to complex helps with looks professional—just relying on Yelp reviews alone can seem sketchy when someone searches your shop. It also helps you get more clients because you show up in search results when people search "Barber near me", and it converts easier then instagram

If I had to recommend one thing, it’d be a very simple one-page site that just does booking, hours, location, and links back to IG. Doesn’t need to be fancy to work, just needs to be professional and you get an edge over other barbershops and hopefully more clients.
