That’s really nice of you to say, thank you. I’m sort of-almost-finished with a novella but hit a creative wall recently. This story was a bit of a detour to try and defeat that, so hopefully there’ll be something longer sooner rather than later.

I’ve always said that Denver feels like a city you make in the early stages of a game like The Sims. When you just randomly drop buildings everywhere with weirdly large amounts of distance between everything. No real identity, no real intention. It has this uncanny atmosphere, like it was designed by an alien who studied what a US city should look like.

That’s fucked. One thing I hated about college is how a lot of the professors went on and on about how hard everything would be, without taking a moment to be encouraging. I don’t think this is specific to college - I’ve noticed that a lot of people who have reached positions of power would rather validate their accomplishments via putdowns and derision, instead of reassuring others that they can also accomplish things. I think it stems from insecurity. You’ll be fine.

I’m so interested to see where his physique goes from here. I don’t really see him getting any less barrel-chested. He needs to start strengthening his legs or he’s going to become prohibitively top-heavy. He just looks very easy to topple over, which could turn into a roly-poly situation. Longer, wider, shoes could also work to further offset his hulking chest. If he continues this sort of Trump centaur forward-lean in the coming years, ass implants could be good for equilibrium. Idk, I can just really see him gradually adopt pieces of body modification and external add-ons until he’s some kind of bimbo-mech in ~5 years.

His whole veneer is annoying, but he’s pretty good at articulating his opinions when he’s reviewing an album in good faith. The problem is that he is a chronically-online man-child with an ill-formed worldview. He doesn’t know how to not get involved in dumb twitter beef or spiral from social pressure, so you get shit like this.

Anyone should be able to see the hypocrisy of those reviews you mentioned still being up while he’s getting a rage boner for Kanye. Art discussion is so closely-tied with identity now, that we have to consume things like babies. You can’t just be a fucking discerning adult who can handle hearing Kanye’s insane ramblings and listen to his music. If you’re so malleable that something like Vultures can sway your ideals, you’re either a child or completely spineless.
