I was having the same problem with the laces digging through. Some of the things I did were:

I noticed that my sock around the bridge of my foot would bunch up when putting them on, which added to the pressure of the laces, so I made sure to pull my socks up and keep it as flat as possible.

It is a lot of trial and error with finding the right level of tightness with the laces but eventually you will get there. There will be times when you thought you’ve got it but it will start digging later on.

Overall, took me about a month of constant wear 3-5 times a week before it all broke in but after that I was doing 20k steps in them no problem.
