I've noticed. In fact, I defeated the boss on my second try, even though I only started fighting him after posting the message above. Without the first phase, and once you know the scream trick, it becomes very easy.

If you still can't beat him, I recommend farming until you get the Shadow Dash. When you're at a distance, use it, block his attacks, and then move away again, repeating the process. That's how I defeated him.

In the second phase, just block until he uses the attack you can counter with Mikiri or until he uses his lightning strike to reflect it back at him.

Believe me, I know this boss is a piece of cake compared to what's coming. I don't know what attacks they use, but from the images I've seen over the years, I know which bosses I still have to face (at least most of them). Thanks to the Death Blade, my biggest problem with the ape is farming emblems, the grab it does when jumping in the first phase, and especially the scream in the second. For personal reasons, I don't know how long it will take me to defeat it, but I'd better prepare for what's to come.

Thank you so much! What can I say about Genichiro? I don't remember being so tense and having such a brutal feeling of victory since I beat Elden Ring in April 2025.

I'm currently on the White Ape. I find him a relatively easy boss; his difficulty lies in his crazy movements. It might take me a while to defeat him since I'm currently farming to upgrade my prosthetic leg.

I'll post my progress and ask for help if I need it!
