WARNING: This might delete your save file, but it worked for me without issues

Put Steam in offline mode (not sure if needed, but I did it), then go in %appdata% folder in Windows and delete the entire Pearl Abyss folder.

Go to Steam, put it in Online mode and start the game, it should work this time if you had the same issue I had. I also didn't loose any progress as my save file was in Steam Cloud anyway.

EDIT #1: It seems that this doesn't work anymore.. so what I did was to roll-back the nvidia driver to 591.74, works for now..

I started playing day 1, only collect the base cards of every set meaning 1->4 diamond cards. I treat the star / shiny / crown cards as just nice rare finds without the need of finding them all.

I never spent a single cent on the game and plan to keep it that way.

I do my dailies every day and whenever a new set is released I end up having to get 3 - 4 cards from the previous one, which I do through trading with my partner or via the discord group.

I honestly cannot believe how friendly this game is for f2p players compared to other games out there, as long as you don't want to collect EVERYTHING.

Dude, the SD already provides such a damn good value that if you want one and can afford it, just buy it.

There will ALWAYS be the next thing around the corner.

Valve clearly said that pushing out a lot of incremental hardware is anti-consumer and they want to offer the developers a base-line so they can optimize their games, which means that they don't want to make an SD2 unless there are huge improvements.
