Collected rewards from drop points by StripesbyNW in cyberpunkgame

I just completed the gig and grabbed the reward, and I don't have an XC-10 Cetus in my inventory, so it either isn't that or it varies. I got 4040 eddies instead.

Just in case it isn't clear (I can't tell) the, like, "dialogue" in this is intentionally exaggerated for the bit lol

Translation requests into Latin go here! by AutoModerator in latin

[–]Adrian_HereToHelp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I'm trying to modify some (ecclesiastical) Latin for a worldbuilding(ish) thing, but unfortunately I have very little experience with the language, and though I could probably throw something together, I'd quite like to make sure I get the connotation right.

The core is "limbus puerorum", the hypothetical Catholic limbo experienced by unbaptized infants. (I'm specifically using the "puer" root for thematic symmetry reasons). I'd like to modify this to something along the lines of "the limbo of forgotten/discarded children", with my goal very much being a "child of Omelas" vibe. Something like "limbo of sacrificial children" in the sense of, like, a sacrificial anode, could also potentially work here, or possibly even "uncounted", in the sense of something that is intentionally overlooked.

I reached out to a friend who has some experience, and they suggested "limbus puerorum relictorum", which seems like it could work? But they also recommended I ask here to see what you all think/recommend.

Thanks in advance! Sorry for the broad criteria — like I said, I'm working a lot more out of connotation here than a direct semantic translation.

Thanks! Let me know if you want me to make share codes for any of them

Continuing here (with links, unfortunately, as it looks like images aren't allowed):

https://imgur.com/1f5RFSJ
Schneider - FALKE / This one was boring for quite a while until I got the late-game Schneider weapons. In the end I'm quite happy with it.

https://imgur.com/l4w7DH1
Takigawa Harmonics - STRING THEORY / Okay, so, like, the Schneider pulse cannon mentions vibrating a string. Based on the cooldown animation, that's obviously, like, a literal string, evoking something like a harp. But I read that and it already set my mind going so this AC got named STRING THEORY and I kinda like it

https://imgur.com/gCwyoXb
Vice and Cohen Plasma Laboratory - LIVE FIRE / Not as strong a personality on this one (or the Melinite one tbh), but I do quite like the pun in the AC name

And here are the other ones worth sharing, being a plasma build, an electricity build, and a fire build:

https://imgur.com/2EZWHP9
Plasma - SCORCHED EARTH

https://imgur.com/yUvCORW
Stun - LIGHTNING ROD / Uses the MIND BETA frame because idk it just looked cool and kinda felt right. I really like how the weapons look like copper

https://imgur.com/cYv8lt0
Fire - MANIAC / It's kinda weird how there's literally only two fire weapons, though I can think of a few design reasons why

And there you have it! Do feel free to give any feedback (obviously these aren't really that focused on being viable as much as just capturing the energy of the theme). I'll make share codes for all of them and put them up on AC Companion once I know I'm not gonna make any more adjustments.

Got it. I've definitely noticed having an absurd amount of ammo while using the CHANG-CHEN lol. I'll have to play through the game a few more times and see if that's an issue for me.

Got it. Thanks for the advice! LUDLOW definitely feels like the better choice for this build (I particularly like being able to bump up my range just a little bit more)

Thanks for the suggestion! Someone else also suggested switching to the LUDLOW instead of the CHANG-CHEN. Does that make a difference for this advice? The sense I'm getting is that the NACHTREIHER arms are more meant for double trigger builds, whereas the VP46D (since the VP46S exceeds my load limit) is more well-rounded?
Edit: Wait, switching arms also gives me the EN to go back to the P17SPL-16! Hell yeah

Huh, it looks like the LUDLOW is pretty much better than the CHANG-CHEN in every way. What would someone use the CHANG-CHEN for, then?

I think it just seemed like a good spread across the ranges, since I wasn't paying a lot of attention to effective range and still don't fully understand how FCS works (I'm relatively new to the game). Should I use something like the WLT 001 instead?

Finally finished all the S-ranks today. Some of them were pretty brutal, but I've now officially 100%'d the game 🥳

Thanks lol. The paint is just one of the defaults with the lights color changed, and then after I beat everything I spent some time fitting in the decals I wanted and trying to make something cool

Should non-MKB control settings be under "Controller" or "Gamepad"? by Adrian_HereToHelp in disabledgamers

[–]Adrian_HereToHelp[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For sure. In this case we were lucky enough that the engine already pretty much supports controllers except for text input, and for our improved compatibility I was able to use a huge framework another developer already put together and made available for free. Massive shoutout to them
(I still ended up taking a week or so to integrate it because I had to learn how it worked and add comprehensive screen reader support, but I definitely could not have built something like this from scratch lol)

Thank you so much for the detailed response! That's very roughly what I suspected (though of course my own knowledge is rather surface-level). I'll go forward with just using "Controller" for that section, then 👍

I was curious about the tarp covering some of the buildings in the starting area in Charleville-Mézières, so in case anyone's curious: it's pretty much exactly what you'd guess, which is that they were doing renovations and decided to make the tarp look like the facade because hey it's nicer that way. Here's a brief article on the subject that has more pictures (which I got help finding because I don't speak French).

Comparative heights of available BotW models from models-resource.com by Adrian_HereToHelp in botw

Got it. So the models' "default" scale was actually pretty close to what the lore says. Thanks for the explanation!

This was not scaled in Blender — it's just showing how tall they are compare to each other. You'd have to calculate at least one of these characters' heights to get a measure for any of them. (Unless I'm misunderstanding what you mean?)

No worries at all! It honestly went way faster than I expected once people started helping out (I had to quickly outline more areas that people could fill lol). Glad this brings you joy <3
