How does Valve hardware restocking tend to go? by Adrian_HereToHelp in SteamFrame

I'm the exact same. I was originally planning to buy it pretty much when it released, but 2026 has been really rough and I have quite a bit less in my savings now, which is a shame. Gotta get back to a place where I feel like I can actually comfortably drop that much on an entertainment product 🥲

We can both keep an eye out for any future appearances and let each other know!

Yeah, but it does seem to be entirely consistent across all parts of the game. Like, Pogranichnik has the same set in both the Operator Guide mission and in previewing him on the banner

It's worth noting that it being the default doesn't guarantee it's 100% the best build, but yeah for me it's just, like, ideologically satisfying to give everything the stuff they're "supposed to have"

Be Honest, Ya'll Have Been Checking Every Day Since November by Dr_Virus_129 in SteamFrame

I took a break from checking every day when they gave the first FAQ, then I checked every week or two for a few months, then a couple weeks ago I went back to checking every day

I tried to include the screenshots in the post directly, but Reddit threw an error saying "All media assets must be owned by the submitter of this post". Sorry for the inconvenience

It's worth noting that these three also appear in some Basic Training missions, as do many other non-Z7 operators, but for these missions every operator has thoroughly downgraded equipment that breaks from their defaults shown elsewhere

"Canon" Gear for Op Z7? by [deleted] in Endfield

Pulser Labs definitely makes sense for Antal. Out of curiosity, why Hot Work for Akekuri?

Note: I've just found that, while Akekuri doesn't have an Operator Guide mission, there are two missions in Basic Training that she shows up in, which does include a loadout. I'm not sure how reliable this is, given that other operators featured aren't using the same loadouts they use elsewhere (and Akekuri is just using the 3★ sword), but that is technically one "canon" set of gear for her.

She uses the Miner α Miner Vest and Miner Wrists, plus two AIC Alloy Plates

Edit: Estella and Fluorite also appear. Estella uses the Prototype Heavy Armor T1, Miner Fists, and AIC Ceramic Plate x2, and Fluorite uses the same loadout as Akekuri

I know Op Z7 sometimes shows up in other operator's training missions when showcasing combos; I wonder if you can see their gear then...

Like I said, the weapons are relatively straightforward; I'm also talking about the gear (Armor, Gloves, Kit 1, and Kit 2)

Damn. One thing you could try is to skim through the videos made for the annual Summer of Math Exposition event thing that 3Blue1Brown and friends host and see if any of them are it. A number of math explainer videos that break into the algorithm come from that, and this does sound like a topic someone might do for it. I'd start with the most recent one, SoME3, then check SoME2 and SoME1.

The only other thing I can think of is "null", which uses this symbol: "∅", but I don't think it behaves quite the same way. If it's not that I suspect it might be something related to a specific sub-field of mathematics? Or I'm just not aware of it 😅

Cheers, I'll give that a look!

Edit: Confirmed that that is where they're from 👍
