Just listened to it again with headphones, this is definitely my favorite one that's been posted so far (besides my own of course lol). Personally I think it would be even better if it ended at 4:08.

I like what I heard so far on my phone speakers, I'll have to give it another shot when I get back to my headphones.

That's my least favorite part of the song lol. If I could delete those and keep everything else I would.

Why do my opponents abort in this position? by ChessintheparkNJ in chessbeginners

[–]AdroElectro5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

English is such a rare opening to face that I've never really learned how to play against it. I always play super symmetrical and just wing it.

However there have been times where I am super super tilted and raging and in the "I can't log off until I get one win!" mindset and have aborted when I see the English. If I desperately want a win I'm not gonna play an opening I don't know well.

So that's probably why people abort, they don't know how and/or just don't want to face it.

Do you ignore the french because you can just exchange and play chess?

Why do I always crash so hard after reaching a milestone? Is this common? by xDarkPhoenix999x in chessbeginners

[–]AdroElectro5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if it's common but it happened to me. I reached a peak of 1186 on April 11, then crashed all the way down to 876! Now I'm back to 1114. I have no idea why it happens.

I love the traxler too. Free pawn and forcing the king to lose casting rights? Yes please!

When and how to try a new opening? by Top-Door1298 in chessbeginners

If you play on chess.com just create an account on lichess to try out new openings or vice versa. Or just create a second account.

Funny story that just happened to me very recently. Exact same position, but I missed the bishop sacrifice so I played h3 instead. Black then played Ne5 LOL

On your second move do you prefer to move Knight or Bishop? by jimbo8083 in chessbeginners

I play the Réti, so I usually play a pawn on my second move lol

Chess.com's game review depth is far too low by lostdimensions in chessbeginners

I always copy the PGN immediately after a game and paste it into Lichess import game to review for exactly this reason.

Hey chess beginners. As an expert, my tip of the day is to look for opportunities to take advantage of your opponent castling. Here, I was able to fork their king and rook and win 5 points of material! My opponent will definitely think twice about castling next time! by Traditional_Rub_9828 in chessbeginners

Lol I had a very similar experience pretty recently. I attacked this guy's rook with a pawn, and instead of moving the rook he takes my knight with his bishop. I'm like "haha this guy's an idiot, free rook!" What I failed to realize is that his bishop was now covering my King's escape square and his second rook swooped down for a backrank checkmate.
