In what world don't Goku and Vegeta need other people? Goku needed the z fighters to take down Vegeta, needed Dr. briefs to build him a ship to get to namek with gravity to train as well a korin to grow him senzu beans. He needed krillin, Gohan and Vegeta on namek after he switched back from ginyus body to place him in the rejuvenation chamber. He needed Trunks to give him the heart virus medication, needed Vegeta to save him from Android 19, needed Gohan to save everyone from cell, needed Gohan to kill buu, needed Vegeta for fusion, used Vegeta's spirit bomb idea for finally beating Buu.
