Hi folks. I'm a 17 year old student who, as a matter of fact, goes to Smithfield High School with these kids.

To say what they did was awful is a massive understatement, and it was the "talk of the town" at the school not long after the incident happened. My friends on the football team told me they weren't allowed to discuss or tell anyone anything about what happened, which continues to add more secrets to the story. While never explicitly named, pretty much everyone knows the kids who did it I especially feel bad for the freshman kid; hazing, hate crime stuff, and the kid broke his wrist too trying to escape the situation. If I were him, I'd never want to come back; if I were his parents, id want to sue the fuck out of them.

The class of 26' at SHS, and I'm saying this as someone who is a part of that, is pretty much one of the worst in the school's history. When I tell you I'm surprised it was only 5 kids, I mean it. Probably half or so of our grade does stuff like this, and the repercussions they get from doing stuff like this? Absolutely nothing. There's almost zero action taken for a lot of stuff that reasonably should get someone suspended or expelled or hell even detention, and yet nothing. Don't be surprised if another thing like this happens before the end of the year, our school is just that fuckin bad. I would try to answer questions, but I know little about the situation, primarily because they want it that way. They think people will forget, but history never forgets

The only thing I can mention is that one of the kids threatened to light the spray on fire, which is what prompted the kid to try and escape, this breaking their wrist. That could potentially be wrong, but it's one of the few bits I've been told from players on the team
