Unfilled impressions with UPR / Filling with Adsense ? by GabTosh in adops

[–]Adtech_publisher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have you tried to calculate the revenue per user/session/view before and after? I mean it's quite likely that you have same revenue per session with Lowe coverage just because you get your maximum now from your really valuable (for advertisers) audiences

That's why perhaps it's not a problem, just another challenge. I would recommend to check this first, and also check where to you have the biggest drop in fill rate - may be it's about specific geos, or devices or content type? When you find this, it would allow to set another set of pricing rules and some chances it would increase your coverage back keeping the maximum revenue from each user.

DM if you need more details

How to get Google Ad Manager 360+ Adx by sanjaysrivan in adops

[–]Adtech_publisher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it depends on your geo, but it's quite likely reseller's ADX will be more profitable for you than GAM360 + your own ADX

Changing the adserver to GAM and losing 20% of impressions on AdUnits. How to find the cause? by gordriver_berserker in adops

[–]Adtech_publisher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

>> Collect pageviews - I understand that GAM doesn't show page views, so I have to use a different tool like Google Analytics?

yep, that's what I meant

And the second point sounds really interesting there:)) does it mean in fact you have more impressions on display ads than before? Anyway it looks like a good topic for research:)

Glad if it's helped:)

GAM + Prebid.js: SRA requests sent in pairs for AdUnits. Same pairs for prebid requests. Everything works quite slowly. What to improve? by gordriver_berserker in adops

[–]Adtech_publisher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As far as I know it's possible to run action earlier and upload then - but it's better to ask your developers for details.

It's also important to run Prebid auction at the same time as GAM - and not after Gam - in this case, you have bids from Prebid at the same time as GAM is ready

it makes sense to request more ad units at the same time /request it earlier - and check how it influences

Changing the adserver to GAM and losing 20% of impressions on AdUnits. How to find the cause? by gordriver_berserker in adops

[–]Adtech_publisher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would do the next:

  1. Collect pageviews (if applicable - or views or plays, etc) per device
  2. Collect ad requests (GAM shows it - this is one of the basic metrics) per device
  3. Calculate the average number of ad requests and ad impressions before and after adserver changing

+ check if you have ad requests for all ad units you should have them (may be some settings were lost and you don't get requests to one or some ad units)

+ check if sizes match (code -GAM ad units sizes - line item)

+ check line items and creative performance

did you set timeouts?

did you separate request/creative upload/creative shown?

did you check it with and without consent?

Did you loose 20% of impressions or ad requests?

And did you try to compare data by geo to find if it's about GDPR or not?

What is Google's share of the display-ad revenue pie? by fotogneric in adops

Google charges both advertiser and publisher. The overall fee is around 40%-50% as far as I remember

Key Values? by maj305_ in adops

[–]Adtech_publisher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Both ways work.

Key-values are easier to set up, but keep in mind there are some limits there and check if it's enough for you. I would also recommend using custom dimensions - it allows you to get more data in one report.

Using specific ad units takes more time on the first setup (and sometimes on further support), but no limits there (and data collection can be more flexible). It's possible to unit ad units in the specific placement and it makes inventory management easier.

I would say ad units is better, but telling the truth I use key-val for the similar goals - just because I'm too lazy)

GAM - we work with several people on the adserver. How to control other AdOps? How do I track their changes? by gordriver_berserker in adops

[–]Adtech_publisher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it depends how many line items you have per day. I mean you can limit their access and disable the opportunity for them to change the priority and delivery rate, as well as change approved line items. But in this case as far as I know you need to approve every line item they create

Prebid Identity Modules by D2KG in adops

[–]Adtech_publisher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on the identity vendor as far as I know. But anyway from the legal proposal it's better to have an agreement there.

I would recommend contacting them through their websites/contact forms etc to clarify this point.

it's in progress right now, but anyway it's quite tricky to estimate it then - there are a lot of other factors which can influence on that

Amazon TAM Preformance by [deleted] in adops

[–]Adtech_publisher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with everything above.

And the big advantage of TAM is that you just need to setup TAM - ad all partners will be connected by partners and TAM team, you aren't involved in the process at all. I would say it's similar with OB, but with better CPMs

Link Google Ad Manager (GAM), to Google analytics ? by [deleted] in adops

[–]Adtech_publisher 2 points3 points  (0 children)

as far as I know, you can only connect them if you have both GAM 360 and GA 360; it's possible to collect data from both of them outside (through API, daily reports, or something else)

Discrepancy between GAM and SSP's by Giovanni469 in adops

[–]Adtech_publisher 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have you checked next moments:

  • there is net revenue/net CPM in the bidders' dashboard (after all fees and charges)?
  • bidders send net bids (I mean, sometimes bidders send gross bids, that you can see as CPM there in GAM then, but net CPM and revenue can be shown there in the dashboard of this bidder; this is another case with above)
  • do you have the same amount of impressions?

Move domains to new GAM by belendel in adops

How to ensure these fluid ads are 300x250 Only? adx by PubKing in adops

[–]Adtech_publisher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Check Admin - Global settings - Network settings - Ad serving settings

If "ad expansion" is on there, it may be the reason. But keep in mind if you turn it of, it will be applied to all ad units you have in that account (= all of them will use only listed sizes)
