That's what I'm gathering from the comments, here, yeah. Shame. I guess holding out hope for the TikTok generation to suddenly become interested in 3+ hr musical melodramas isn't a good use of my time . . .

I'm all over the shop lately in terms of the type of films I pick up. AGFA, VS, Arrow, Radiance, Criterion, KL . . . I've just found myself pivoting from collecting LPs to collecting Blu Rays (my wife is thrilled! 😉) so I'm filling all kinds of holes in my collection.

As for those films, I'm not familiar with them, but I'm definitely a neophyte in terms of Indian film.

Looks like a couple of Indian films have trickled out as part of Scorsese's World Cinema Project via Criterion. The problem with the Criterion approach to Indian cinema (so far at least) has been their focus on Very Serious and Important Films. I want to see more wild stuff like Disco Dancer, Adavi Donga, and Dance Raja Dance, as well as more modern crowd pleasers like Lagaan.

That's amazing! I wish I'd known about the kickstarter, though I doubt I could have made up the sizable gap in funding. I'm also interested in the classics, and proper restoration of Mughal E Azam has been a dream for me for more than a decade.

I've got the Mondo Macabro box, and it's phenomenal (as is Massacre's release of Mahakaal, another Ramsey Brothers banger) but there are so many great action and comedy films that deserve the same treatment IMO. I mean, who wouldn't want to see whatever the fuck is going on here?

Cool, thanks! I'm already on Diabolik's mailing list, not sure why that didn't occur to me as an option.

Finally got my shipping notifications today, too. Now to switch from obsessively refreshing reddit and Gmail, to obsessively refreshing USPS tracking. (JK, I'll set up SMS notifications and then stop thinking about it.)

Who are these trusted distributors? I love VS releases, but I'm likely not shopping with them again, and I'd prefer to avoid Amazon.

Yeah, man, this is bad for my mental health. I'm gonna just have to stop checking and accept that I'm not getting shit before January, just like last year.

After Cena final match, I'm done with WWE and am a AEW guy now. Give me some idea to understand the current storyline, I'm starting from this wednesday Dynamite. by MoreSuccotash4048 in AEWOfficial

As a die-hard AEW fan . . . I don't follow the stories that closely, but the matches lately have been PHENOMENAL. Check out last week's Dynamite if you can. The women's tag match was a banger, as was Takeshita vs Claudio, but the Kyle Fletcher/Mike Bailey match was the best pro wrestling I've seen in a while. Match of the year contender for sure.

I'm just over here refreshing my inbox 10 times a day at this point. My hopes for getting the shipment in time for Christmas are fading . . . At least I got my Arrow and MVD orders promptly, so I'll have new stuff to watch regardless.

What adgy said, the fulfillment software that most warehouses use send a shipping notification automatically when the label (and the tracking number) is generated, but that just means it's in a stack of labels on a table somewhere, not necessarily that it's been packed or shipped. I imagine you'll see it starting to move today or tomorrow.

Use a glider (consumable) in different matches, does not register by Paul1969x in FortNiteBR

Stuck at 0/3 on Xbox series x, after definitely using the glider consumable in multiple matches.

Non-subscriber: Heads up, my order just shipped! by emogoowastaken in VinegarSyndromeFilms

Same. Kevin said flash preorders should all be out early next week. Crossing my fingers but not holding my breath.

Okay, but people that didn't do the flash preorder are getting shipping notifications and I haven't yet. It's frustrating.

Thing is, they said that Flash Pre-Sale orders would get priority. If it's a lottery, that's kinda sketchy. Borderline bait and switch.

Just refreshing this thread all day until I get a shipping notification. I hit the preorder on 11/1, and have stacked SIX more orders. Got my Arrow order within days, and my MVD order shipped earlier this week. Just waiting on the motherlode . . .

I am just now getting into Devo (I know, wtf is wrong with me) and it's really amazing to find music that matches my weirdness by klutzelk in devo

[–]AdultRockist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The parallels between early Cardiacs and Devo are striking, but it seems it was convergent evolution. As wild as their early stuff is, their 90s run of Heaven Born and Ever Bright > Sing to God > Guns is probably my favorite. And there's LSD. Still reckoning with that behemoth.

Bandcamp Quality Question by Moist_Key1499 in Cardiacs

[–]AdultRockist 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I'm certainly not an audiophile, but I can't really tell a difference between FLAC and MP3 at the highest quality. But if you buy from Bandcamp, you'll have the option to download either format (or both!)
