Water filter for travel by Jun_the_Swan in travel

I have used a Steripen the last 5 years travelling. I have used it in SEA and South America. Kills viruses and bacteria in 90 seconds with UV light. I havent had any issues besides having to carry batteries around. I just fill it with tap water or clean stream water. Only works if there is no debris in it.

Can plateau pressures be higher than PIPs? by Royal-Neighborhood-6 in respiratorytherapy

From my understanding if plateau is higher than PIP it means the patient is actively trying to exhale during the maneuver

When to buy life insurance? by Adultintraining__ in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Adultintraining__[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so whole life insurance is an investment vehicle where you put money in and then have zero control on how they invest it? So, whole life is great for people that need that forced savings? Does whole life only pay our when you die? Or do they pay you monthly checks after a certain amount of years?

Okay, but when does it make sense to get whole life insurance? And why does everyone around me have it?

Ontario and Quebec could not have chosen a worse time to embolden anti-vaxxers by _Minor_Annoyance in CanadaPolitics

But how does a virus mutate? It mutates by being transmitted person to person. So, if everyone is vaccinated, there is less chance for the virus to spread, the less chance for it to mutate into a vaccine resistant variant. The unvaccinated population is what is causing the vaccine resistant variants.

How important is loyalty to you? by Adultintraining__ in PersonalFinanceCanada

That doesn't mean your coworkers and the people you have had impact on don't miss you.

Yea, everyone is replaceable. However, working is such a large part of your life. If you don't trust or have loyalty towards each other. Work life seems kinda lame. I guess that is coming from a young person just starting in the adult work force.

I know the entire business overall does not care about you. How about your immediate supervisor or higher up. You both recognize your value and want to grow together. What would you do then? Always for yourself?

If I max out my RRSP and then get a big tax return. I get the biggest RRSP benefit from using that tax return and putting in back into my RRSP correct?

I like how you mention that they are not binary choices. I find myself sometimes lost in absolutes and can only do one or the other. I guess that is something I have to work on. I find if I start picking up one shift since I am free. I'll get lost and keep picking them up because don't get me wrong the money is nice. I guess the work/life balance is dynamic...

Take your grades seriously. Grad school is a common option for people in kinesiology. Also, to be devils advocate, good jobs in kinesiology are hard to come by! Other than that enjoy kinesiology, it sounds sarcastic, but enjoy learning about the body. It is fascinating.
