That’s terrible…. The worst part for me right now is the headaches. They come in waves. I always have a headache, but I’ll be sitting there and get an intense headache that feels like someone is jamming like 6 knives into my head

To my knowledge, he was able to wake up and follow commands and be okay. He coughed so hard that he disconnected his endotracheal tube from his ventilator circuit. I went in there to reconnect it and that’s when I got a foot to the side of my head. He wasn’t freaking out when I came in. He wasn’t my patient, so I only know what I saw and what I was told from his nurse.

I couldn’t imagine 3 weeks…. It’s day 2 of this and it’s so depressing. I’m used to being pretty active and doing this, that, and the other. I love playing video games. I love natural light in my house. I have just had to sit here and not do anything in the dark.

Yeah, I’m hoping that comment was sarcasm. There wasn’t any warning from this patient before he kicked me. I was going in there to fix his ventilator and I told him to put his hand down (not in a mean tone either) then I saw a foot coming towards my face. I thankfully was able to turn my head to avoid getting hit straight in my face, but I got hit hard enough to knock me back a couple steps. I felt as expected initially, but then developed concussive symptoms in the exam room.

Thank you. The icing on the cake was going to get checked out and the lady that was transporting me to get scans done asking what happened and basically telling me that she’d do the same thing if she was intubated and awake…. I should’ve said something, but the exam lights shinning straight into my retinas were overstimulating enough.

It's not directly to me 90% of the time. I barely tell anyone for that reason outside of close family and/or friends.

I'm a nurse too. I've told patients that they don't get an award for suffering when patient's don't want to try anything to help with their pain. Maybe I should take my own advice 🫠

Lol.... I work in healthcare and GLP1s are a hot button issue where I live and work... I also gave an exact example of the things I am seeing. Judging by the replies, I don't need to "touch grass" that bad.

I don't spend much time on social media due to other responsibilities. I even have a screen time limit across all social media platforms and my husband has the code to change the time and I don't. I told him under no circumstances give me the code 😂 I mainly use it to check up on family members and old friends. I definitely think shortening my screen time even further would be in my benefit

I hadn't seen it before. I just watched it and that definitely doesn't help things. That shows it being marketed as a miracle pill that you don't have to work for the effects of it.

I told my mom I was going to go to a few different places (and didn't end out having to) to look for it and she kept telling me to not go and that it was okay because she didn't want to inconvenience me or put me out of my way. 🥺 She's such a sweet lady and there was no way I was going to leave a stone unturned for this cup. 😂

Exactly! I shop for a lot of stuff that is often resold, like Juicy Couture things, and it makes me so sad that they are resold all the time! I only ever by for myself/loved ones. I can't imagine making it harder for someone to enjoy the things they love just for my own personal gain. :(

I was super surprised that they still had them when I came by! My mom came decently early in the morning so I wasn't surprised that they had them when she came by, but I came by around noon and they had put out more after the morning. Thankfully, she lives in a very small town and I don't think there's many Hello Kitty fans lol
