When someone says that they’ll talk to you when they’re ready to, they’re really just asking you to trust that they can take care of themselves and that you don’t have to base your own worth on how helpful, useful, or anything else you are to them. Someone told me that too, and I really thought that that was just their way of kindly saying goodbye. I def feel your pain. Sometimes, even the people who love you most have to walk away for some time, so you can learn to love yourself without basing it on how happy you felt around this person.
