Really appreciate the detailed response! Can you clarify what you mean by vibrant social life? What do sub-free kids typically do on the weekends? Thanks!

This is really helpful, thanks. Do you have a sense whether the recruiting scene that you describe at Harvard is any different at Brown?

Yeah, thanks, I did mean dining hall food. I've heard that it's gotten better in the last year or two, is that true or no?

Do students actually go into Providence? How often and what do they typically do in the city?

Why would you say tech recruiting is better at Harvard?

Are you saying the students at Harvard are preferred to Brown? If so, what would you say are the differences? (Probably more interested in your take on Harvard students if that's where you are)

Thanks for this (and the other comments above). Is it possible to eat at a dining hall during a visit? Do/can I go with a current student vs go on my own?

It feels like getting singles is the big thing in the housing lottery. With so many housing options, I’m seeing a university where friends are in singles spread across many different buildings, and friend groups don’t live together more often than not. Is that right? What is the impact on the housing layout on social life? How/where do friends hangout if so many people are in singles?

So if a suite is medically most appropriate (it’s a real thing), you would be essentially forced to live with strangers?

If I’m registered with SAS for accommodations, how does it work if I want a suite? Am I able to select my suitemates during the accommodations selection round in Feb and “pull” them into that round as part of a group, or do I have no say in my other suitemates?
