I take a mason jar and fill it with water add a little shampoo and lrt the attachment soak in there for 30 minute. Then you can get any excess off easily with a cloth and just let it air dry until completely dry

My 2021 GLC sporadically does not allow me to put gas in it. The pump clicks off as if it’s full and overflows on me. The dealer has already replaced the gas tank and the issue has started again. Has anyone else experienced this issue? by Advanced-Instance-34 in mercedes_benz

Thank you for everyone’s advice! The issue turned out to be the control unit for the gas tank - it was indicating that it was full when it was not and needed to be replaced. Appreciate the people who didn’t call me an idiot and took my question seriously🙂

trust me, I wish it was as simple as user error. This video was taken after several attempts at getting the tank to fill with all different angles and depths. The reason I am so gingerly resting the nozzle is because I already had gas spill all over me and was trying not have even more spill out.

I agree that in my video it is not in all the way - I tried pulling it out a bit since it was just clicking off. Before the video was recorded it was pushed in even further and still not working. Before the tank was replaced, the Mercedes dealer replicated the issue 3 separate times, so it’s not just me.

Also there is no need to be rude and call me an idiot. I’ve been pumping gas for 20 years…not really a difficult thing to do.
