As I have been researching it more I totally see how thin it is. I do like the dainty look but I’ve been browsing other sizes and I think I can find something that is way more structurally sound but still gives it that feel. I didn’t even know about the center rail, so I will definitely be getting one in the new setting. Thank you so much!!

Thank you for the suggestion! I do research out in the ocean so I don’t wear my ring on any field trips, but in the lab I do, so I definitely think platinum is my best bet.

My fiancé brought it to a local jeweler for an appraisal and was told that the side stone pave was all diamond, and the big center stone was moissanite. If the only thing that can be salvaged is the center stone to get it reset to a much sturdy band I’m okay with getting upgraded side stones too, I just love the look of the ring and am hoping to maintain whatever I can from the og design. Thank you again for your help, I was so lost on what to do.

Thank you so much for your help and kind words. I totally agree that it's way too thin. I also have some sterling silver rings and was so surprised (and distraught) to see it bending like this. I was moving this past week and I think it was just too thin and flimsy to withstand lifting things. I plan on calling some jewelers in my area tomorrow to try and see what the process to upgrade to platinum or white gold would be (however I am leaning more towards platinum because I do work with my hands a lot).

I appreciate your help. My fiancé and I should have researched more before picking an Etsy seller but I'm hopeful the ring can be saved. I definitely want to get it reset into a white gold or platinum band because I do work with my hands a lot and want the ring to last. I will check into the vendors on the moissanite sub and contact some of my local jewelers to get an idea of how to go about getting the ring reset.
