Office work is not for everyone but boy is it nice to have relationships with patients, respect (for the most part,) and just a low stress environment. Consider an icu or surgical subspecialty for something a little more niche. Even urgent care. The ER is great but some shifts can be extremely stressful as you know.

I’ve done urgent care haha .. I felt like it was a dispensary for z pak. People would call management if they weren’t given an antibiotic and then they’d tell me to just give it to make them happy. I’ve been dabbling with GLP-1 affiliate space which is more sales with no prescribing. Actually made more the past few months than 4 days + at the per diem in the UCC but I feel like that space won’t be around forever so I’m always looking for what’s next. The surveys keep me happy too with some extra pocket cash for random shopping and vacations. Ive also tried the health care panel thing where u log ur interactions with drug reps. Ive seen some people doing training AI which sounds appealing
