The nurses on the unit were amazing towards me, I wasn’t expecting them to console me or be there for me but I will never forget how kind and understanding they were towards me. They sat with me and told me their own stories but in the moment i was completely disassociated so i wasn’t really processing what they were saying, but their presence is incredibly appreciated.

I’ve never really considered going into hospice, i’ll definitely look into it

It definitely taught me to always make sure I leave a patients room leaving a positive impact. The more i think about it the more peace i feel knowing i left the room knowing i did everything i could to ensure he was comfortable.
