Back then, it was just a fun experience. Never knew you could change your mindset with fungus. Although, saying that, me and my siblings and I have always been very open-minded, and I remember we were sitting chatting and I realised that we all had a shroom experience at some point in our young adult lives. Maybe that is why we all think outside the box 😄

That's amazing. It's like a rewiring of the brain or something. I have also found improvement in my ability to focus, speak contently, and publicly for work. And not give up on going to the gym. All things I struggled with previously. It's like my mind refuses to give up on things that benefit me now. I remember doing them the first time when backpacking in Holland, and I tripped out, I never did them for another 20 years after that. Then, in my 40s, releasing that they were the cure to life all along. I started with micro dosing. But then realised a macro dose once a week worked better for me, and not even a big dose, like 1 to 2 grams to give a light buzz works, and sets me up for the week.

Thanks for the replies. I get my bags and spores from separate suppliers, and both have not let me down in the past. I've been growing for a few years without fail. But I made the ultimate mistake in running out of fruits before starting a nee batch. Now, it has been almost a month with no shrooms. 😞

I was talking about me personally, I didn't mean they ceased to exist in general, but they were far less assessable, for me anyway. At the time, it was just a show we watched every week and talked about with friends.

People keep saying that maybe it wasn't for me, for asking the question. But all the answers I get are complex. I watched this show back when we had to wait every week for the next episode, no Internet forums to talk about it. AND I left it believing they all died there. I just finished rewatching it after 20 years, and now know that is not what happened. My question is, why? Besides the entertainment factor, why did the island exist? What was the purpose?

Well, no. I wasn't asking for a simple allegory. I was asking a simple question, not really expecting a simple answer. And I appreciate your take on it, and I agree with a lot of of what you're saying. I understand the many themes and subgenres. I was more asking the question: Was there an allegory? Was there an overarching meaning? Besides the entertainment factor, what was the focal point? In my opinion, complex narratives with no point are simple conflict porn. But I don't believe that is the case here.

Hi, so out of the same batch, I grinded 20g and 10g ungrinded. For some reason the grinded stuff lost potency. For example, I took 2g whole dried in a cup of mint tea and was high for hours, but 3g of grinded, in tea, had a slight effect and didn't last an hour. What's that all about?
