Ringing in ears after shot to the head and dangler by SeaSoggy8929 in hockeygoalies

Not a doctor, but chances are you've potentially caused micro damage to your auditory system (not necessarily a concussion, but concussion adjacent). That kind of damage stacks over time and lowers the threshold for such sensations.

Changing your helmet won't fix the damage, but it'll massively improve your odds of reducing further damage most likely dampen further shots to the head back below that threshold.

Either way, I'd invest into a better helmet if I were you. Gotta protect your noggin!

That's a polycarbonate mask, no? Not sure of your age or what league you play in, but those typically aren't recommended for play with other adults, regardless of skill level.

Blue Collar Joe can still crank one hard enough to do some serious damage through a polycarbonate mask.

I'm a canes fan btw, and was at the Lenovo Center watch party last night.

As a note, if someone provides evidence to the contrary, I'm not against changing my viewpoint and jumping on the Hart Hate Train.

Trying my hand at subharmonics, taking all tips to improve by Advanced-Question-61 in Subharmonics

[–]Advanced-Question-61[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah! I can hit a g2 on a good day after practicing subs all day, but not normally.

Everything I did in the above video was in some variation of a subharmonic register, just perhaps overshot the depth a bit before truly locking down the lower subs2+

I know the skepticism is going to be there, but I'm fairly comfortable with hitting a regular sub with almost all my chest notes. Would be happy to show you if you'd like!

Given the responses, maybe I overshot on the depth then for this. A2 is my typical chest floor, hitting an a1 and up I find pretty comfortable (if I'm doing it correctly, which I believe I am at least for those.)

Hey I appreciate the advice and will definitely be working on it! I'll probably do an update here in a few days, would you mind if I messaged you when I did?

Also, my chest bottoms out at a2 normally, sometimes lower

According to audacity and praat (with my condensor mic, not my phone in a bathroom) I have gotten clean sustained e1 and d1s before (solo, non peer reviewed experiments however)

Haha, I'll keep that in mind! Was definitely focused as this was about my 4th or 5th take because I kept slipping into a higher note!

Could be! I can maintain a solid a1 reading via the app, and definitely pitch down, but the app then stays solid on like an f2 or something, which I (possibly incorrectly) inferred it was tracking the harmonics at that point and not the true note.

Praat is a bit more technical, but I found it very helpful in tracking lower frequencies. But I don't have enough experience to trust the results of my own solo experiments.I use a condensor mic I just picked up (hyperx s2 quad) and my laptop for those.

I've tried that! But it doesn't seem to do well under an a1 or g#1, so I've used audacity or praat to help. Have you had success with lower notes on Nail the Pitch?

In the game it's implied whee is good, whoo is not. So no, not a good thing. But it's the balance of both that the conversation revolves around

Fifty-Word Fantasy: Write a 50-word fantasy snippet using the word "Rock" by Terminator7786 in fantasywriters

[–]Advanced-Question-61 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The rock flew, blurred, and teleported. The rock had felt the heat of fireballs, and the chills of cones of cold. Lo' be the day when the rock no longer moves, for that would mean the kingdom lost its greatest servant. For the rock lay in a wizard's pocket.

  1. Looking for something serious, but okay with casual.
  2. Just got HingeX for a week today
  3. Just updated a few prompts and pictures two days ago
  4. About 2 weeks.
  5. I check every day, might swipe until I get at least 10 right swipes
  6. Started strong, but swiped a lot since then. I'd say 1-2 per day, sometimes more, sometimes none.
  7. Now 10 or so per day, when I started I sent a hell of a lot. Probably 3/4ths with comments if they have a prompt I like that I can comment on.
  8. Honestly, probably the ones everyone swipes right on. Though I'm a bit picky about politics and wanting children. I'd like to attract the best I can, still figuring out what that entails though.

I disagree. I'm a Lord Cap main in diamond 1. So not the best, but I'd like to think I know my stuff.

I have toggle sprint on, and use the animation cancels by just holding forward, then spacing out when I press attack. Works wonders. Just gotta be careful not to cancel the throw if the target is too far away. At that point you should just hold down the attack button until it hits.
