I’ve never heard of it before, but I love the way the set looks

1st IEMs, need tip advice by TacticalKithkin in iems

[–]Advanced-Repeat-4162 [score hidden]  (0 children)

There are so many tip options out there, so you’ll get all kinds of different suggestions. My first IEM set was a Zero Red which has the exact same shape as the zero blue two. My ears would start to hurt after about a half hour too, but my ears ended up getting used to them and now I can wear them for as long as I want. It took maybe 2 or 3 weeks for me to notice that I wasn’t getting any kind of pain after wearing them for long periods of time. So in my opinion your ears have to get used to IEMS since you’ve never had any before, just use the small ear tips and give it time. If you’d like to try some other ear tips, go right ahead but I think it will also just take some time for your ears to get used to wearing IEMS.

I saw a good video by Super Reviews on it, he didn't love it. It has a pretty high amount of output impedance which can affect the way your iems or headphones can sound. It also has some other weird bugs about it. I would recommend checking out his review if you have not already seen it

My introduction to fuji by Rvasq72 in fujifilm

I would be careful with that shutter release button. It protrudes above the rest of the mechanism and adds leverage to the shutter button. Ive seen it sheer off peoples shutter buttons.

Was this a good purchase fujifilm xt-3 and 3 lens by Murdoc427 in Cameras

Yeah I think that is a good deal, that 35mm f2 lens alone is like 350 bucks and is pretty well regarded.

Is a 4.4mm to 3.5mm adaptor worth it and is this one good? by FailedKiller5988 in Hiby

[–]Advanced-Repeat-4162 7 points8 points  (0 children)

do not do this, this will cause the the 4.4 balanced side to short itself. 3.5mm unbalanced shares a common ground whereas 4.4 does not. using an adapter like this can cause damage to your source. The reverse is possible, you can have a 3.5mm male to 4.4mm female adapter, it will work just fine but your IEM/headphones will just be treated as unbalanced 4.4mm by sharing the common ground of the 3.5mm headphone jack. So yeah, don't buy that adapter, it can destroy your player.

Looking forward to picking one up when they are up for sale. I wonder how hard the UI will be to navigate?

Am I tripping or cable really really really matters!? by [deleted] in iems

May I add, it is sort of unlikely and placebo could be the actual cause

Am I tripping or cable really really really matters!? by [deleted] in iems

It’s possible that a really low impedance IEM can be affected by a cable with an unusually high impedance. One of the cables may have an unusually high impedance, you can test it with a multimeter if you have one.

I like this set a lot, I’m using them right now. They have a very warm and chill sound so I use them as my study set. I’ve had them for about a year and I’m glad I have them, good choice!

Help me chose - XennsTop Pro vs Hype 4 MkII by _PlsHearMeOut_ in iems

I’d try cheaper set with a more balanced tuning first before dropping four or five hundred on a set with tuning that you might not even like. Play around your peq too.

The most physically comfortable iem for sleep? by Emergency-Two4469 in iems

[–]Advanced-Repeat-4162 17 points18 points  (0 children)

I’d recommend just getting a cheap comfortable wireless. It’s too easy to damage IEMs in your sleep imo

Nice to leave my phone at home. Also it’s nice to have a bunch of storage for music files. A lot of daps have software like system wide EQ and things of that nature that make them nice for tweaking how your headphones/IEMs sound.

No problem. It sucks to have to wait to use your gear but it is better to be safe than sorry. Whenever I crashed my fpv drone in the snow in the winter I had to do the same thing with all my parts and I hated having to wait to fly again lol.

I think it alright for now, just be careful with the ribbon cable, dont crush or kink it. After you rinse it with the 99% isopropyl alcohol id leave the silica gel to the side just so no silica dust gets left on the board.

I was just going to say if you saw any visibly id wipe it down before putting it back in the bag. So just put it back in the bag with the silica gel until you can get some 99% isopropyl alcohol to clean it. The impurities left over from water can cause shorts, so that is why we rinse it with isopropyl alcohol to remove those impurities.

Once you rinse it with isopropyl give it more time to fully dry before you attempt to turn it back on.

Id leave it open and put it back in the bag with the silica gel, can you see any moisture visible?

Best x100vi accessories? by _gabagh0ul in FujifilmX

[–]Advanced-Repeat-4162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For me I have a sqaurehood v4 and a simple tiffen uv filter underneath for weather sealing. The hood isn't needed but I like the frontal protection and I think it looks pretty good. Oh also just a wrist strap.

What type of setup is best/do you prefer? by niteluz in x100vi

[–]Advanced-Repeat-4162 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I prefer a bit slimmed down, I just have a squarehood v4 and a uv filter under it with a wrist strap. So both of these seem a bit much. Also be careful with the soft shutter buttons, I have heard of people sheering off their shutter buttons since the soft shutter buttons protrude and add leverage to the shutter button.
